That sounds like a plan, Melanie. A goal in St. Maarten is to hit both La Casa del Habanos in both capitols. It appears to be the only trusted place to get non-counterfit Cubans and if there are hardware stores near by ... bonus!

My DH and I were just discussing cigars, we are Canadian, but since we dock in the US, would all the cigars have to be smoked prior to leaving the boat?

Cubans would, yes. Americans are technically not supposed to even be smoking them, even off of US soil. I am glad you do not have that issue as Canadians.

I would also like to know this. I check in everyday even though I know its a bit early. I would also like to know how full the ship is. Would be amazing to have a quiet cruise all the other christmas ones have been full!

OK, opinions, please --

Trying to figure out the logistics for the hanging of three stockings Christmas Eve. We are in a Nav Cat 7. We would like to hang them in the part of the cabin near the bed (away from the sitting area where DD6 will be sleeping). Are there knobs on the closets that will allow for hanging? Any suggestions where were could put them? I have 2 Command hooks, but was hoping to use them in the bathroom.

I dunno...DH's story in Cozumel went like something like this: The girls and I stayed on and he went off in search of a Mexican hardware store (tools being different in different countries, blah blah blah...I tune out). He goes in, looks around and they ask if he is looking for anything in particular. He answers something to the effect of no, just looking, and the guy says "I have a sister. Would you like to look at my sister?" and points to her standing in the doorway.

Hmmm....maybe THAT'S why he wants to go searching for hardware stores in clothing optional vacations spots, now that I think about it.

That's pretty neat! You can see so many stars out on the ocean and this event will make it even more unique. My kids love it when DH points out the different constellations....

I’m excited to say that we (DH, DD, and I) have decided to splurge and will be joining all of you on this incredible holiday itinerary! We were waiting for a military discount and I posted a few months ago to that affect... Well one has yet to materialize but my husband will be deploying to Afghanistan shortly after the cruise so we have decided to just do it!

I look forward to meeting all of you at the ornament exchange. BTW, where do I sign-up for that?

Any news? I'm still 9 GTY.

Any news on how full the ship is? I stied to look at Cat. 6's the other day -- didn't seem like there were many left.
