Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) - PART II

Not dumb!

Go to upper right corner of the page and click on the hyperlink that is your ID: Hmorale

Next to your Mini Statistics (to the left) is a hyperlink to 'customize your profile'. Click on that.

On the left under Your Control Panel halfway down is 'Edit Signature'. Click on that.

I uploaded the graphic to my photo host. If you do not have a photo host already photobucket is a free online one that is easy to use. Once you have the http:// address for your graphic, you can click on the 'Insert Image' link (looks like an icon for a photo or post card) along the top toolbar above the white box to put your signature. Insert the http:// address and see how it looks in preview and go from there.

I hope this isn't too confusing. Took me a while to figure it out. ;)

Erm... nevermind!

Seriously consumed with plans already! Spent most of the day online, comparing excursions and dreaming of a Palo Brunch ressie that will "Magically" open up!
Will I be able to keep this HUGE secret? Kids last day of school is Fri. 17th, booked flight for that evening. Thinking of throwing them in the car and telling them we are going to the city (Chicago) for dinner but we end up at the airport. :banana:They'll figure out we are going to FL, but how to spring the cruise on them? Head swirling...must focus, October first, then November, then DCL.:cool1:

:welcome: :cheer2: :welcome:

Welcome to all the new cruisers!

CrusinLattas - thanks! I have a few more but I just haven't posted them here yet.

Meemous - it's not really that hard. Caryn did a great job explaining how to do it, but it sounds harder then it really is. You just have to upload the image to a hosting site like photobucket. Once that is done then copy the

I love the idea of not telling them until they get to the airport. :thumbsup2

Does anyone have any suggestions for what excursions would be good to do with a 7 and 3 year old? Thanks!!

Getting so excited!!

In Dec. 2008, my girls were 6, we surprised them with the cruise. I was able to pack and make all the plans w/o them knowing. We had informed their teachers and they kept it a secret as well. We told the girls we had to pick them up early from school for a dentist appointment. We had the car packed and I had new disney outfits lying on top of the luggage for them to change into and at this point we asked if they'd rather go on a Disney cruise. They were screaming and jumping. My husband was videoing us telling them. Very fun surprise. We did not book that trip until about 1 month out so it was a little easier to contain myself.

Dentist appointment, great idea! Think I will steal that! Awesome-thanks:thumbsup2

I am so excited. My mom has always been on all of our Disney Cruises. This year she told me she was not going with us on the cruise. I was sad. But, I still wanted to go on the cruise so I booked the cruise and was hoping she would change her mind. Today was the day. She changed her mind and now is going to go on the cruise. I just got finished booking her room, flight, and excursions. This is going to be great. Another great Christmas. The only sad part is my son who is 21 will not be going. He needs to work during Christmas.

Welcome to all the newbies..

78 til VACA..

Still looking for pen pals for DS 10 (turns 11 on cruise). :3dglasses
Hi, I have a 10 year old son who is very interested in meeting boys that will be on the cruise. He has a facebook page and an email address. If you are interested in having them meet PM me and we can get them together. Eve

I appreciate that you looked into this. Count us in too! Who is keeping the list?
I have started a spreadsheet, but at the moment it only has our information on it, since 3princessMommy originally started the ball rolling. If early dining cruisers would like to PM me with their names, cruise confirmation #, Cabin number and the # of adults / children in their party, I'd be happy to take care of getting dining set up for us. Stephen and I were both hoping to share a table with other DISer's on this cruise.

I've also started a list for people's shore excursion plans, so we can see if there are any other DISer's joining us in the various ports. Again, if anyone wants to PM their excursion plans to me, I'll be happy to add them to the Excel spreadsheet and then forward said spreadsheet to everyone before the cruise.

And finally, I did some research today concerning Verizon International roaming rates and coverage areas for each of the ports and started yet another sheet to keep everything together. If you use Verizon Wireless, I'd be happy to forward the information to you, or post it here.

I am overwhelmed by all the parents who surprise your kids with cruises.

I want someone to surprise ME with a cruise.

How fun would that be?

For those who haven't booked any Excursions for the St. Maartens stop, I thouroghly suggest The Golden Eagle Catamaran Excursion. Agreed, it is on the high side for price, BUT, it is a wonderfully, beautifully scenic ride. Cocktails are included for the adults for the high speed voyage to their island where you snorkel and drink away (adults and kids alike, cokes and fruit juices for them) for an hour an a half!! Then it's another speed race back to the port where they blare their reggae music and converse with all. You will not be disappointed, I promise!! Meemous and I are taking my siblings on it agian this year, they loved it last year!!:woohoo:

Hello everyone! We just booked yesterday, our fourth DCL trip, first time on the Magic. Keeping a secret from the kids, DS 12 & DS 8. Making a FE & shore plans already! I spent almost 2 hours the other night reading the home made FE gifts thread....all I can say is "wow"! Can't wait for Christmas in the sun-not snow!

skypixy- I am going to figure out how to add a ticker soon
me:yay:DH:happytv:DS12:cool2:DS8pirate:

Welcome aboard, Maties! You are officially on the roll call (see page 1 for all the key information about the cruise, and keep checking back for updates.

I know it is a dumb question but how do I get the Holiday cruise logo on my signature?pirate:

In general, if you want to post photos or graphics, you need to open an account with a site like photobucket, upload your photos, and then post your IMG tag code into the message. You can also "steal" other's photos and graphics. If you just want the cruise logo, cut and paste this into your signature (just add a closing square bracket ( ] ) at the end to complete the code)....
