Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) - PART II

Totally agree DVC4US, Meemous and I went through THOUSANDS of magnet ideas last year before we decided on ours...and we had just enough to fill both our doors. we had some big, some small, and a few for the days of Pirate Night and the day we were at Castaway Cay. Getting more and more excited with every SECOND that passes by...it's all that Meemous and I talk about now!:woohoo:

I like the Doctors and the Shopping Network ladies too. The funniest though are the tattoo couple(can't remember their names) - watching them run like crazy and not be able to find anything is so funny.:lmao: I'm actually surprised they didn't get eliminated first.

I love how the tattoo couple keeps insisting that they're not really that dumb. Their actions belie their words. :rotfl:

Thank you, LeiLani

The main one I want is for 1 adult and 1 child on the Atlantis sub in Barbados, time does not matter. If we can get that, I can work around it for my turtle snorkle (hopefully) :-). If you can check, that would be super :)
Cheers!
Caryn

No problem Caryn! The sub and the turtle snorkle are still showing open as of right now. I didn't look at times but the excursions themselves are still showing available.

I fully understand Nick. It's all I talk about too!:cool1: Now I just have to order the magnet paper(can't find it in the stores around here anymore) so I can get all mine printed.

I totally agree. They were just so totally confused and didn't know anything, while the guy with the Standford MBA couldn't even figure out where to go. It was too funny!:rotfl2:

The guy with the Stanford MBA AND a compass ... :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I just left CVS Pharmacy. They have 90% off summer items. So, I purchased almost everything they had in stock. I was so excited. I sent my husband back to get the rest of the merchandise.
I now need to get it all organized for the trip. I am so excited.
For those of you keeping it a surprise for your children that is wonderful. We did that for two of the Christmas cruises. We picked my son up from school and told him we were going to go for a drive. We then drove to the airport. He had no idea about the trip till we got on the plane. He was so surprised. This year I could not help but tell him. I was really excited about going on this cruise. We are also booked on the Dream in June. This will be fun. :cool1:
Now it is time to get back my grading papers. I teach high school and college and I have both groups of grading. I love teaching but do not like grading papers.

I love bargains! I got my formal dress during last years after Christmas sales! I am a middle school assistant principal. I love my job  (most days)! At times I miss the classroom, but I do not miss the grading of papers:-)
:teacher:
I cannot wait for our cruise. You are so lucky that you will be cruising also in June! What a great way to start summer vacation!!!!!!

I just wanted to put in a note of thanks to all of you on here that are doing such a great job to make this cruise special! I think this is one of the most active groups I have been with! I am glad, since we are going to be spending so much time together...smile! It is going to be so much fun to meet you all in person!

Ditto:thumbsup2

I appreciate everybody's effort! We are going to have the best cruise ever!

Thanks a million!

Lisa - what did you think about DWTS last night? Jennifer Grey was awesome! I was glad to see Kurt Warner do a great job too.:cool1: Poor Michael Bolton, it was a rough night for him.:sad2: It seems like the judges are scoring a little low this year. I guess I understand that they don't want to give out high scores so early in the season. Who do you think is going home?

Anyone else who is a fan of DWTS can chime in too!

Are there any Amazing Race fans out there. I love that show too!

I loved Jennifer's jive! Wow, she is in great shape! I felt sorry for Michael Bolton. He is such a talented singer, and I feel his ego took a beating Monday night. The 3 was ridiculous. He should have at least received all 5's for trying. Even though, I felt sorry for him, he was the right person to go home. I also liked Kyle's jive and Mrs. Brady's quick step:-)

Next week will be good. They have to tell a story through their dances, which probably will be hard for Bristol (since she is not an entertainer).

I do not watch Amazing Race, but I am a BIG Bachelor fan. I am not a huge fan of the new "old" Bachelor, Brad returning for another try at love.

Ok, just got off the phone with my friend who works for DCL and her suggestion is this: Wait until 2 weeks prior to the cruise to actually link the reservations. Since Disney doesn't even look at seating arrangements until 4 days prior to sail date, it will give everyone ample time to finalize plans. If worse comes to worse, we'll head to Rockin'D Bar and work seating arrangements out once we get onboard.

Since Stephen and I are doing B2B cruises on the Magic (12/11 - 12/18 and 12/18 - 12/29), we might even be able to take care of things during the 1st cruise......it never hurts to ask.

I appreciate that you looked into this. Count us in too! Who is keeping the list?

It seemed on past cruises that every time I went to the gym, every treadmill and eliptical was taken - I guess we all go at the same time - around 9:30! Guess I will need to wake earlier to beat the rush. Deck 4 is a good option but gets old after a few loops. The CC 5k sounds like a great option - I had forgotten about that. On our first cruise, the weather was too rough to get into CC so we gave up after a few tries and had a day at sea.
:santa:

I get to the gym in the wee hours of the morning! I am usually one of the first few people to arrive in the morning:-) Crazy, I know. I am on vacation. I usually get up at 4 AM so 6 AM is sleeping in. The CC 5k Run sounds good too, but I do not know if my joints will be up to it. I like Deck 4 too, but early in the morning it is very cold so I usually head to the gym.

I am sitting at my desk eating popcorn from a bucket we got at WDW at Christmas time - it says Celebrate the Season - it may have even been from the What Will You Celebrate campaign. I love those popcorn buckets. pluto:

I just watched a video about Disney Christmas Cruises and they now have put out an email about our trip for agents to send out. I guess Disney decided to let people know about our trip! Wonder if that will help fill up the ship?

I love this time of year!

We just watched this as a family! We are totally in the spirit!
The MAGIC is building. I am so looking forward to the decorations. They were amazing in the clip. I can only imagine how they will look in person.
How many more days?

I found a couple magnet pages on Oriental Trading a couple years ago that the kids enjoyed - one was a tree to decorate all magnetic with decorations and little packages - also magnets - that was our tree decorating that year! I also found a nativity scene you could move the characters around - again, little magnets. I haven't looked for them - I think it was a package of 5 or 10 so we didn't use them all on our last two trips. That's as far as I have gotten with magnet planning this year! I have been in the process this last month of moving my office to my home so my organization skills are really being tested between getting computers and faster internet hooked up and transferring numbers! Hopefully by next week I will at least have some sense of order!

I have not even really started this task! I have looked at a few threads. If you want to, please post your magnets for ideas. I am so not creative! I am hopeless in that department.

Maybe, I will purchase the magnet paper this weekend to help with my motivation !

More magnet talk! I feel the pressure! Please post your magnets for ideas. Thanks.

I'm considering this. I'm trying to surprise my kids with the cruise and wanted to wait until December to tell them about it. I might tell my 14 year old daughter just so she can start posting. Hmm... decisions... :)

Great idea!

We surprised our kids with a 4th of July cruise several years ago. Now, granted we don't live too far from the Port so it was fairly easy to pull it off. We told them we were going to see the movie Wall-e and loaded them up in the van. Luckily they were content with the idea of going to the movies, that they never realized that there was luggage in the 'trunk' of the van. We drove on to Port Canaveral and when they saw the cruise ships, they started to get suspicious. They guessed what we were up to when we turn on the Port exit. Their reaction was priceless! It was so worth the surprise! Go for it! They will always remember the great surprise you gave them! :cool1:

I agree!! Their reactions make it all worth it. Since we too drive to the port, we have had to become more creative in our tales. We have even put luggage in the trunk and drove right past the port to eat at Grills when the kids said they were on to us. Or, we have put fake airline tags on the luggage in case my daughter looks and thinks we're flying somewhere. I have even left out fake hotel ressies in case they're snooping.

The best was last Easter when we flew into San Juan for a Princess cruise. They all thought we were going on another Disney cruise, so when we arrived at mco, they were confused. It was even better when my dh convinced our cabdriver to pull up to a crappy hotel instead of the port to see their reactions.

We'll see how this cruise pans out...
