Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) - PART II

I like how you think, Kitster :thumbsup2

The caroling sounds lovely. It would be nice if there was a service for those interested on Christmas Eve/Day.

Caryn

There was a service last Christmas Eve @ 11:15 PM. I'm thinking there was also something in the morning b/c I don't remember keeping DD up that late on Christmas Eve, but I do remember our family attending a worship service. I'll check my Navigators for Christmas day and let you know...

Just checked! Yes, there was a Christmas morning service at 8:30 AM in the Buena Vista Theater. :thumbsup2 That's the one we went to!

Kitster, what travel agency do you work for:lmao: Sounds like me and my manipulations for the best rates, etc. We will also not be doing much in the way of excursions since we joined DD (3princessmommy) and family unexpectedly on the Baltic cruise in June:woohoo:
We are now sitting in the middle of Tropical Storm Hermine, thankful for the rain :yay:and watching the pool overflow. Feast or famine. Figuring we have stormy weather now, Dec in the Caribbean will be beautiful.

Lois

Hi Lois,

We live in Friendswood (about halfway between Houston and Galveston). And we were at Sea World San Antonio this weekend. It sure was hot!

Kim

We spent Labor Day across from you at the Hill Country Hyatt...small world!

So to re-cap the services that have been offered in a prior year:
-Christmas Eve service at 11:15 pm
-Christmas Morning service at 8:30 am

Much thanks for the information.

Yes, sorry for the long drawn out, multiple post answer! :lmao:

I just found the thread and am excited to say we are on the Magic for Christmas. There is myself, DH and DD (9). I have to review the shore excursions now and figure out how to decorate our cabin. Any ideas for decorations? I am excited to see some other girls my daughters age. Looking forward to meeting others that are going to be on board.

Welcome aboard

1st page has info on the cruise. Trying to get my post count up so that I can PM.

Mary

Hi Lois. I work for the CorKit vacation planning company. We have a huge payroll.......in peanuts, cause that's what I work for :rotfl: Actually, it's thanks to finding these boards that I've learned the tricks that allow us to make informed decisions when we go to WDW.

I hope the weather doesn't get too bad for you. I'm sitting in my un-air conditioned condo in a long sleeved top thinking I might go put on a long pair of pants. So Cal has been really mild so far this summer.

BTW, if nobody can tell, I can't wait til Dec :yay:

Welcome Aboard StJohnfamily glad you found us!

When we cruised over Christmas in 2004 I just used some decorations I picked up at the Dollar store, that way I could just trash them when we left. I did bring our stockings and put them up with the Command hangers and I ordered a small(tabletop) decorated tree from Shirley at The Perfect Gift. Not sure I am going to do the tree this year because if I do it for my cabin I feel like I need to do it for the other 3 cabins in my party so I will probably just do decorations and stockings.

Kitster - sounds like you have a great vacation planned. We will be at WDW for NYE too. We are staying at SSR. Right now our plan is to be at MK on 12/30 to watch the fireworks and then spend NYE at Epcot.

We stayed at Kidani for spring break and it was really neat. If you haven't already done so, I would request a room on a lower floor near the lobby. We had room 7624(dedicated 2 bedroom) and it was perfect. Location was close to an elevator for the parking garage and had a great view of the animals. There was a feeding station right outside our room.

Just wanted to let everyone know I am not just a "lurker" anymore...we finally booked today! Now I get to count down to the excitement with everyone :)

Good Grief Everybody!!!

I just commented to DH how quiet the boards were yesterday, that no one posted all day long and went to bed.

When I get up this morning, you guys have THREE PAGES OF POSTS!!!!:scared1:

Hello everyone,
We have decided to go on this cruise! I'm looking for the best offer of OBC. Anybody have any suggestions? Disney is giving $25, All Seas Travel $50, I'm waiting on a quote from Dreams.

I'm booking at Cat 12 Gty.

Thanks!

I didn't know Shirley would deliver trees. I was just planning on stopping by Target or Walmart on our way to the Port to pick up some inexpensive decorations for the cabin. I'll have to contact Shirley and see what her holiday packages are like. I love Shirley!

I love Shirley too!:lovestruc This last time I cruised over Christmas was in 2004 so I don't know if she still does the little trees or not, but she does the best baskets! It's always exciting to get into our cabin and see our basket.:yay:
