YEAH! Congratulations!

I've never done high tea before...is it nice? We've done dinner and brunch and love it!

I was also thinking of contacting Shirley for a gift basket for the trip... we will be celebrating DD 11th Birthday on the trip. We have done the baskets a few times...Shirley's baskets are always wonderful! I hadn't thought about the fact that she might be doing small trees for Christmas. Would someone be willing to share any info they get from Shirley about the prices? It might save me from having to bring a small fake tree...in my suitcase.

I am interested in learning more. We will celebrating our DD's 11th birthday on the cruise, too. Was looking at the baskets Disney offers and didn't find anything we had to have.

Please share any ideas. I'd greatly appreciate them! :goodvibes

I love high tea. Never had it at sea, but really want to try it on the Magic.

Congrats to those who are finally official!:yay:

I have done high tea before and I enjoyed it but I have to see what the other ladies in my group want to do and if we have time for it.

I know Joann(3princessmommy) sent Shirley an email so I am sure she will post whatever information she finds out.

When I order from Shirley I usually asked her to put something in the basket that I can't get on the ship. Some of the things I usually ask for are diet Pepsi, diet Rite, coffee drinks for my mom and then I just have Shirley put in some snacks. Even with all the food on board, it's nice to have some snacks in the cabin.

In the past she has also done things like a beach towel, disposal camera, and beach bag.

Greetings all - I received a number of requests for access to the Facebook page. I am doing my best to only accept people who are actually going on this cruise to help minimize folks posting too much personal/sensitive info on a public page.

I have requests for the following people. Please either post on this thread, or send me a private message matching your disboard name with who you are:
Kathy G. B.
Jeanne O.
Mary M.
Chris C.
Eve H. A.
Joan S.
Pamela S.J.
Richard B.

Right now, there is not a lot of activity on the FB page, and I think that is best. I think it is good to keep all the shipboard activities and excursions discussions at the disboards so no one gets excluded inadvertently.

Shirley from 'The Perfect Gift' is a member here on the 'DIS'. She makes wonderful gift baskets... at a very good price. :thumbsup2 We have ordered from her twice once at Easter and once at Halloween. Both times I called her and we talk over my price range and what I would like in the gift basket. When we arrive on board, our basket was waiting in our room. It was a nice surprise for the kids!

If you do a seach, you should be able to find other threads with pictures of baskets that she has done for other people.

Hi All,
For those of you new to FE here are a couple photos of our loot from our June cruise. There are a few things not in the pics and this was for 19 cabins. It was a great addition to the cruise. I have not seen much feedback on making two groups of FE exchanges of about 20 cabins each rather than one big group. I did read further on other FE threads that 20 seems to be the magic number. From what I am seeing since post #300, it looks like we are up to 31 cabins. Any other opinions?? I know many of you want to get organized so if we can get some feedback by the weekend that would be great. You know my vote. :thumbsup2

I do have a question that could be addressed now or later, for those of you occupying 2/3 cabins with relatives, will you be exchanging as one big happy family or for example grandma has her own Fe and kids their own FE. Another example, on our last cruise there were 3 friends/family in one cabin that EACH gave out their own gift to our family, we only had one gift for their cabin thinking they were a family. I would have loved to have brought them each a package.

Tinkmischief(Melissa) It looks like you are super mom and super busy! Let me hear from you on this and help in any way!

Wow jgura, you got some great stuff there! I agree that the FE is lots of fun. My DD couldn't wait to get back to the cabin each day to see if there was anything in it :)

Tinkmischief, I sent you a PM regarding the FE...my family definitely wants to participate.

I have a feeling as people join and get involved we may hit at least 40 and maybe go as high as 50 for the FE.

I also picked the Red Sox to make the playoffs this year, so no holding of breath, please.

I agree with you, that the possibility of a HUGE FE group of 40-50 cabins is a bit daunting. My vote, too, would be that we would split into two smaller groups of approx. 20 cabins each.

My biggest reason for that vote is because I'd like to give a quality gift (not crazy expensive or anything!) but providing 50 quality gifts is out of the question. I fear that if we reach 40-50 participants I'll have to rethink my gift and go with something that might not be useful/appreciated. :sad2:

Did you ever get a request from Kimberly S.? I sent it awhile back but never heard anything...

It just occurred to me that by the time we board the ship, we'll have already seen the next Harry Potter movie. popcorn::
