Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) - PART II

K, so for those of you who want to do battery operated lights in and around your staterooms, got cool news. Meemous and I were out today perusing in shops and found battery operated lights that are red and green mickey heads!! :cool1: SO cool, and they play "Deck the Halls" as well!! *puts down Mega-phone* Kk, done with my announcement..hehe. Just had to share that with ya'll. BTW, cause I'm a dumb-dumb and forgot where we got them....it was at Lowe's... /facedesk

WOW - is online checkin available already???

I will def. hunt those two books up and post the names and authors. It was a major explosion, and its really talked about very little when you consider the devastation it caused.

More to add! We booked today! 2 sets of grandparents and an uncle (single I might add!) along with myself, dh, ds-14 and dd-8

Be sure to check out page one to see all the MANY activities this group has organized!!!:santa:

We were able to get the Brunch but decided not to try for dinner or High Tea.

Out of curiosity....how long ago did you book? We only just booked this fall, and Brunch was already off the table.....so to speak..... :rotfl2: We are VERY sad about that! :sad1:

How long ago did we book the cruise or brunch? We booked the cruise on Day 1...over 2 years ago! We booked brunch at 105 days out (we are Gold Castaway Club members). You can always try to add brunch as soon as you board the ship. We have had success doing that before. :thumbsup2

Any Auburn fans going on the Dec 18-29 Cruise? War Eagle! We will be wearing our orange and blue! War Eagle!

Got my hopes up for High Tea! Rushed to log in and no go, it has been not available, along with Brunch, since we could book at Day 75. Ah, well. Maybe check on board :)

Hello Newcomers!!! :goodvibes

Off to Lowes! Well, I already bought battery operated lights, do I really need Mickey ones? Maybe....;)
Are we sure we are allowed battery operated sets?

I was just curious if anyone can give me more detail. We are booked in room 6146, and according to the TA, that is an open air verandah, but when I google the room number it shows it as a Navigator's solid whitewall verandah.
Any idea???

Is anybody getting the tree from the Disney amenities page for their room? $85 seems like alot for basically 10 days but it would be so nice to have. Thought Shirley might have something cheaper but her 2' boxwood is $75 plus delivery.

My Passporter says "6144-6154 have a solid railing."

Well....we got the Disney amenities tree last year. It is VERY cute. Enjoyed it immensely for about 4 days....but then we came back to our room mid-cruise (7 day cruise) and there was a definite FUNK in the air in our cabin! We worried it was dirty laundry or something, but traced it back to the mini-tree! We removed the adorable little ornaments and set that stinky puppy out in the hallway for removal!! Our room steward was VERY concerned that our tree was in the hallway, we had to reassure him that YES...REALLY we wanted it thrown away!!!

Just our 2 cents from experience. ;)

Wow! 4 Days??!! That wouldn't even get us to Christmas Eve/Day!! So, it's a real little tree with carnations and mums? And it wasn't the live flowers gone stinky bad, it was the actual tree?

I think I would have asked for a replacement or refund if that's all it lasted.

I ordered an inflatable Christmas tree from Oriental Trading Co. I think I will pack it in the box I am sending ahead. It is supposed to be 4 feet tall, and I have a feeling it will take us a team effort to inflate!:rotfl:
A little tree would be great, but at those $$ I would rather buy some more photos!

We basically just wanted it out of the room...it still LOOKED great.....figured maybe it was over sensitive noses, but it was BAD! :rotfl:

It was basically like boxwood branches stuck into a styrofoam cone with the decorations added. Very cute. Rather odiferous! :rolleyes1

Perhaps if you group a whole bunch of "pine" air freshener hangy thing to add to the decor???:rotfl2::lmao:

We have two rooms so we'll have two little trees. We bought a mini Cars and mini Princess tree at Target for our last Christmas cruise. They do plug in and light up but it will still be cute with out turning the lights on. Carnival didn't mind if we plugged them in...Guess we were lucky we didn't burn the ship down...

So I watched the coverage of the Dream on GMA this morning. My DH says "Is this the ship we will be on?" :lmao: He is a tad clueless. I told him we will be on the classic, less HUGE Magic.
Willing to be added to the Big Fish list.
Only 6 weeks? I have started wondering what I will do after we sail, and I am no longer able to obsess on the Dis!
Have a great weekend everyone!:yay:

Internet's too slow here to load the video - oh well....

More to add! We boo
ked today! 2 sets of grandparents and an uncle (single I might add!) along with myself, dh, ds-14 and dd-8

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome:

We also have a DD who just turned nine. She's e-mailing some of the other girls on board. If you'd like to get your DD into the loop, PM me your e-mail.

I'd rather have a little artificial tree than a stinky real tree.....:santa:

Totally agree! I wonder if I will still be able to find one when we get to Florida in December. I was just going to stop at Walmart on the way to the port and pick one up. You don't think they'll be sold out of the cheap tabletop trees...:confused3

We are going to the Marine Ball tonight! First time we've ever left the kids overnight - but DH and I have earned a night out by ourselves I think! :thumbsup2

Guess I'd better get moving though. Ballet class, birthday party, hair/nail appt., packing... It's going to be a busy Saturday! :scared1:
