Magic band?

We are staying at YC for 5 nights and GF for 4 nights. We are getting 2 sets of magicbands. My husband doesn't always go to the parks but has fp's on his band. If we are staying at the YC, will his GF band work and vice versa? Will the 7 day tickets be on both bands? I am confused to how this works.

Your band are linked to your account on My Disney Experience.

As long as both rooms on that account, both bands will work. They are interchangeable.

As long as the tickets are on that account, and you bought them either separately or as part of a package with your first stay, they will work with both bands. Again, they are interchangeable.

Your husband's FPs are not stored on a magic band. All of your FPs, tickets, credit cards you've linked to the band, dining credits, etc, are stored on Disney's servers, in your DME account. The only thing that's on your magic bands is an identifier that tells Disney's systems that the person wearing the band is associated with a DME certain account number.

Any band that you have linked to your DME account will be able to access your fastpasses.

The magic bands are interchangeable. As long as they are both linked in MDE both will access the same info.
Be aware that the system must recognize that someone entered the park with the magic band in order to use FP+ so basically what you'd like to do is not gonna work.
