Magic band question

Oh.... see the way I read it, it sounded like I could just take my DD's first band (not linked to my account), and both of my parents bands (also not linked to my account) into the park and use them to get FP (in addition to the FP+). My parents; bands would not be activated with tickets bc they don't have APs. I'm going to read that link Hiro posted.... again..... more thoroughly this time!

I started to read that thread he posted, but it's 55 pages and I don't have time to read all that!! It comes down to this..... while there are no solid plans yet, there is a good chance my parents will be in Florida for the month of November, meaning they will have their bands and may very well be with us in the parks. So, that eliminates any chance of using their bands in anyway, if that was even possible. I will worry more about this in the summer when I am off (I am a teacher). I'm not going to buy extra bands just to get extra FPs. Disney is already too expensive!

So one person can't enter with their band, go buy 20 magic bands at a store, then have all of that for themself. Unless they wanted to buy 20 bands, then go buy 20 park tickets to use lol.

Actually, you could. At least as of today. How long that lasts is anyone's guess. That's not how they do it, but theoretically, you could.

Thank you for the input, everyone. I will just go with my 3 bands and get my 3 FP+ (and maybe a 4th?) and leave it at that!

At least you are aware of the options.

I will never use same day Fastpasses nor a Throwaway Room because I visit the parks with a CM friend who has seniority in the entertainment division. We don't do anything that will impact others within the parks. But, for guests in general, it's good to always know and utilize options which are presented on DISboards.

How could you select fast passes on a band with no ticket linked?
