magic band problem

I am packing to leave tomorrow arriving at WDW Saturday. I got our bands out to pack them and looked at them again and DD (12) noticed that her name is spelled wrong. It is correct on our reservation. She is very upset about it. Will they give her a new one when we are there?

Sorry, no. You can purchase personalized ones at locations in the parks.

The name on the bands should be whatever was entered when they were customized, and has no relation to the name on the reservation.

I would say as per policy, no. But you can try asking- you never know if a magical moment will be created. I'm sure it's within SOMEONE's power to give out a free MB.

Doesn't hurt to ask, but I don't think they have the capability to personalize a Magicband on property. Those are created and shipped from somewhere else.

The Magic Bands aren't personalized in each resort so they wont have the power to do that. Like Hannah said, might be a chance at a magical moment but its not likely.

Was it typed in correctly online and they mistyped it? I might say something then. Otherwise, I would let my kid know it's not a big deal. Maybe she can save her money and buy her own when she gets there?

Was it spelled correctly in the customization section of MDE?

They cannot personalize them on property, other than the name on the outside of the band at the DCot stores in Tomorrowland and Disney Springs, which you would have to purchase.
