Magic Band Delivery and DVC

Do we know if TiW will be linked to the MagicBand? Will AP's? It would be great if we could show our ID's at check in so we don't have to show ID to order alcohol. Although... I'm not getting carded that often anymore.

AP Holders will be offered MagicBands. As it stands currently, you will need to show the appropriate card (AP/DVC/TiW) to get any discounts.

I doubt they would allow it to order alcohol that since the magicbands can be removed and used by someone else.

Once they are made available, you will be able to pre-order them and select from the seven available colors (blue, yellow, pink, green, orange, red or grey). If you don't pre-order, the resorts will only have grey on-hand. Disney has also mentioned designer MagicBands that can be purchased (the 7 regular colors will be free to resort guests, AP Holders and PhotoPass+ package purchasers).

I am surprised there are names on the bands. In this era of child abductions, this is one of the first things law enforcement tell you not to do...do not dress your children in clothing with their name on it.

If you pre-order one of the standard MagicBands, you could have a name embossed on the inside of it.

Since there are 8 of us travelling / staying together and only 7 colour choices, this is good to know as we'll have to double up on one colour. Though if the embossing costs extra, a Sharpie will just have to do I guess.

I'm wondering if maybe you could customize with a little glue and a thin band of a different color ribbon, so it would look different.

I hope the embossing is included free ... If not, ChuckS' idea of a "do it yourself" customization sounds better than my Sharpie one!
