Magic Band Check at Polynesian

Now that the busy holiday weekend is over, does anyone know if they are still checking/scanning magic bands at the Polynesian for guests visiting to watch Wishes Night Time Spectacular and the Electrical Water Pageant from their beach. We are staying on property, just not at the Polynesian.

There was no "confirmed" info that they ever did check ID's this year.
There were claims that it was going to happen,
but those same kind of claims have been made... and unfounded... over the last decade on this board.

In fact, there were firsthand reports from guests at the Poly Beach on July 4th that there were lots of guests there and nobody was checking any kind of ID.
(Which has also been the case over the last decade on this board.)

There would be no need for any more "checks" to be made until Christmas Eve this year,
as MOST nights of the year on the Poly beach there are scant few guests of any kind to be found.
