Magic Band arrival question

My family is going to WDW. I am arriving on an earlier flight and am planning to take Magic Express and head to the resort and check in. The CM on the phone told me to bring all 4 of our Magic Bands with me to check in.

Now I read that you need your Magic Band to check in/ride Magic Express.

Should the Magic Bands come with me for resort check in or should we keep our own? Does the CM at check in need the actual bands to check in????

The bands will work for DME and for park entry without a resort check-in.
Other things like adding charging privileges and the dining plan (even room door opening) may require a trip to the resort desk.
If YOUR band is part of check-in, you can handle those things (if needed) at least until the others get scanned in.
