Magic Band Accessories On Sale Now!

I wonder if the Crocs Jibbitz will fit. Could save myself a fortune, since the 'Bandits' are essentially the same

Personally, I am in no rush for them. As it stands you can only choose FP for one park per day and only 3 FP per day. Like ADRs I am guessing you are going to have to book the big rides as soon as the window opens at 60 days which is of no interest to me as we no longer plan which park which day. We go where we want - shock horror going to WDW is not a military operation for us :rotfl2:

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Totally agree with this :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I don't mind booking our TS dinners 6 months in advance but to have to plan ALL day EVERYDAY 6 months out is going to be no fun at all :worried::worried:

yep another one here....do not plan anything nowadays, we just go with the flow. Really not bothered about these new wrist band thingy's coming into circulation. If I have to have one it'll be in my bag not on my wrist.

I agree they make me nervous that I'm going to be stuck in a crowded park not able to hop as well because what's the point if you can't get a fast pass in another park.
We usually used the normal pass in the time frame but this strict you can only choose three in one park on one day is stupid.
What worries me is that it might mean they do away with the hopper option as I said above its kind of pointless if you can't get fast passes elsewhere.

For example you are in MK for breakfast you get a fast pass for you three attractions and then the park gets busy so you think I'll head over see some of Epcot yet you can't get on any of the rides there as the lines are long (or you dont want to wait 45mins) yet you could get a fast pass oh no wait you can't......

I share that concern. Still have faith though that disney will come good. Fortunately I always go in September which tends to be quieter anyway.

Yes I'm not trying to put a downer on the idea and I do think the bands are cute with the add ons. I just worry that along with ADRS it's going to take the spontaneous element out of our visits.

I hate to sound like a 'negative nellie' but does anybody else think the Magic Band accessories are just a money making scheme :confused3

And, worse still, I'm such a sucker for Disney 'tat' that I know I'll end up succumbing :rotfl2:

It's a huge racket, but I think we all know it would be. It's like the ear hats... we all buy them!

I'm actually looking forward to it and hope that it's rolled out by October. I think people who feel negatively about it might be thinking about it in the wrong way in regards to park hopping too.

A few people have said that there is no point hopping if you can't get FPs in the second park, but I see it a different way. I would start out at rope drop or better still in EMH in one of the parks, lets say MK, get the head liners done in that park without FPs (no need because parks are quiet) and then have FPs for the 2nd park, lets say DHS, for the 3 head liners there. It will just mean we have to work out the new system in the same way we worked out the original FP.

I think the other benefits of the new system will be the ones that make a difference to the guest experience. Let's be honest, Disney don't want any of us caught up in long lines because while we're there we're not spending money! :rotfl2:

Excellent! Rather than thinking of all the things that can go wrong, you thought of how to make things right! Well done.

I can't wait! I think it will really appeal to planners like me. I agree with Mr Romance it would allow you to do all the headliners in two parks in one day without queuing. That would be a result for me!

I so agree about wanting it like a hole in the head. I have no intention of wearing a plastic wristband all day long I bet they don't have a hypo allergic version I have psoriasis amongst other things. I might wear it to get in and that's it its coming off. I so agree about FP I hate doing ADRS and do so as otherwise I wouldn't get to eat where I like however I notice for my august trip how many fewer I have done for the month I am there. On the day maybe but no way am I 60 days out going to start sitting down and trying to work out which park if any I am going to on any given day

This is precisely how I'm looking at it. In fairness, we rarely hop to any park other than Epcot because we know that the queues will be huge by the afternoon and FPs will mostly be gone. We will continue to do rope drop at one park, then plan our FPs for a second park and hop there in the afternoon.

I'm not sure I'd want to wear a rubber wristband during the August heat and humidity - I usually take my wristwatch off because it becomes uncomfortable at that time.

This was my first thought especially when seeing the test pictures who all seem to be of men wearing them. I have a very slim wrist and while I understand you can remove part of the band to make it smaller for children its still quite a bulky band.

Last night I was at the Robbie Williams concert in Glasgow, great show btw, and Samsung were handing out wristbands very similar in size to the Magic bands, non adjustable though, and I think I lasted about five minutes wearing it in temps of 18/20 so I'm thinking the Magic band would end up in my bag/pocket.

I've just been reading a blog regarding the magic bands and they state that they will only be rolled out for resort guests and AP holders to start with, with the possibility of offsite guests having them at a later date. So I am wondering if the resort guests are basically "booking" their FPs in advance so to speak what will happen with the rest of us? Will be still continue to use our tickets at the machines for FPs like we always have done?

Apologies if this information is out there- I have only really just started to look at the Magic bands since they released the extra tat to go on them! :rotfl:

As there is no set rollout announced as such however they have always stated Magicband will be free to resort and AP holders.

They have also said everyone will be able to use the FP+ and legacy FP will be slowly removed. FP+ just requires RFID which all new ticket media contains.

Until they start rollout no one really knows how fast this is going to happen or what exactly will happen.
