Super exciting changes are afoot. I bet you will love BLT! As for canceling the Wave, from what I hear that is not a hard restaurant to get a walk-in at so don't give up hope if you really want to eat there. You can also order from their menu at the bar.

I will just flat out admit that I am NOT patient. At. All. So spill on the additional details ASAP. I'm off to read the TR Brook linked to so I can get some clues.

Ahh I miss a couple days and this is what I get. Tons of updates!!! Awesome about BLT...that view is amazing. Can't wait to hear what you have to say about it. The Contemporary has never really interested me (I think it's "boring" compared to some of the other resorts...I like the ones with more theme) but we are hoping to stay at BLT some day.

Having stayed at GF before I know it's wonderful But, DH is right, it kind of doesn't feel as "disney" as WL or AKV. I still can't get over that it's cheaper to stay in a one-bedroom, MK view, villa at BLT them a regular MK view room at GF!

I'm soooo excited about BLT! SO, SO, SO excited!!!! When we first did the DVC tour I wasn't all that fond of the rooms. But having seem pictures and seeing the model again at the Doorway to Dreams store I really, really want to stay there! Now I am!!!! Did I mention I'm excited!?!?!?! I wonder if I'll be able to leave without begging DH for more BLT points!

I'm SO excited about TOW Lounge! OMG! How much better can it get?! I'm actually hoping to have Tracy (manntra) "over" for a TOW meet!!! Now, if Christine (2xcited2sleep) only stays one more night and hangs out with us!!!

I promise I'm not changing anything anymore! They only room change there could possibly be is if my Kidani waitlist comes throw and we get Savannah view instead of standard! Can I tell you how much I want to be able to go from Savannah view to MK view?!

He's definitely going to be excited and I think he'll love it!

Really, I barely slept at all last night!

I'm so excited about BLT! I can't wait! TOW looks fabulous! I can't wait!

I think I'm going to skip a sit down meal on the day we switch altogether! We have MNSSHP that night and I think it will work out great!

I thought the same thing about the Contemporary. I really wasn't all the fond of the BLT rooms when we did the DVC tour. But, having seen pictures and having seen the model again at the Doorway to Dreams store it really grew on me and I really can't wait! The rooms at BLT are a lot less stark but they're still modern and clean!

Details, details, details!

The magic is in the detail, I think!

But before I get to the details I may have hit a minor snafu this afternoon! Boo! I was looking online for info on BLT and I read something that indicated that only guests staying at BLT on DVC points have access to the Top of the World Lounge. Then I read that Only DVC members who are either staying on points or paid cash through DVC Member Services can access TOWL. Hmmm, a little problem. I booked the BLT reservation on the regular WDW reservation area online! Boo!

I called BLT directly to find out and women said what she read stated you had to be a DVC member staying on points! But she really was sure!

So I called DVC member services to see if I could re-book the reservation through them, I would have called disney reservations right away and cancelled the other BLT reservation. But, DVC has no DVC cash reservations at BLT at all over those 3 days. He explained to me something about a small percentage of the resort (and any DVC resorts) not actually being owned by DVC and actually being owned by disney resorts. He said it was something like 2% of the rooms and that was one of the rooms I got! Really?!

Why is nothing ever simple?!

I'm, a little miffed about this and plan to ask upon checkin! I'll have my DVC card so they can verify our membership. We are DVC members staying at a DVC resort. We've paid a lot of money for our DVC membership and a lot of money for our stay at BLT. It inconsequential to me that we aren't staying on points or a reservation booked through DVC MS. Especially because anyone who rents points from a member can use the lounge because their KTTW Card says DVC on it.

At the end of the day it's not all the big of deal because we'll have the view from our room so if they say no I'll let it go, maybe I just want to be able to have drinks!

That over and done with, for now, lets move on!

So, I'm going to run down everyday and then give you the details of the surprise!

Surprise details!

I plan to somehow secretly place a note in our room inviting DH on a Grand Adventure! Not sure how I'm going to do that but I may have to ask the concierge at BLT for help! When the time is right we'll take the monorail to GF arriving around 6 pm.

We'll meet our very own, private butler in the lobby and he will escort us to a private balcony on the 3rd floor!

We'll have a very private, very romantic dinner over looking the GF grounds with MK in the distance! We'll be dining on Crab Cakes, French Onion Soup, some yummy sounding salads, Beef Filet, and New York Style Cheesecake!

When dinner is complete and we're stuffed to the bursting point we maybe visited by a very special guest! I don't have that confirmed yet, but it's all but certain! I'm hoping to have our guest give DH another note wishing him a bon voyage on a special night time adventure.

After our visit and pictures we'll go down to the dock for our Grand One adventure!

Wishes is at 9:30 that night because it's HalloWishes! After our 90 minute cruise is over the Grand One will take us back to the dock at the Contemporary!

Hopefully we'll find our room beautifully decorated with rose pedals on the bed and candle (battery operated ones, I don't want to burn down BLT )

How does that sound?!

I am the same as you....didn't like BLT at all when I first saw model rooms etc. but it has really grown on me and I want to stay there next.
Now that you mention that about TOTWL it does sound familiar. I think they did that to cut down on the amount of people that would be allowed to go there and to keep it DVC exclusive. If that doesn't work that night then we will just have to kidnap C somewhere over in Epcot (like a Kim Possible mission ) and keep her until she misses her flight! I was actually going to do the room decorating through disney florist, I did it on our anniversary trip on 09. But you get a dozen roses and a gift basket etc. I dont think we really need all thought when we're leaving on Sunday! When they did it the candles were battery operated. So, I figured I'd go to Michaels or AC Moore, get a box or 2 of the fake rose petals they sell for wedding and a bunch of battery operated candles and do it myself! I just have to figure out how! DH takes a shower at night before bed so I'm thinking I can do it then. Not sure!

I figure I'll tell them that I couldn't make a reservation through DVC and we really wanted to stay there so I was willing to pay the cash. Hopefully they'll take pity on me

I can't wait for the dinner and I really can't wait to see it all happen! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the guest!

BLT has really grown on me and I think we're really going to like it! I know TOW is supposed to be only for DVC members staying at BLT. We are DVC members staying at BLT, but we paid cash. I posted something on the DVC boards about TOW and from what everyone says it's pretty dead up there! I can't imagine they'd turn away a paying DVC member staying there just because they paid cash for their stay! I have to say, I'm a little tempted to call my guide to see what he thinks about it!

We could totally kidnap C!!! I say we lock her up in the little village behind the Maelstrom until it's too late for her to catch her flight!

When Disney Florist decorated our room on our Anniversary trip in 09 they used battery operated candles! I was going to have them do the decorating but I don't need all the stuff they give you when we're leaving on Sunday! I can't get over the fact that a one bedroom, MK view villa at BLT is cheaper then a regular theme park view room at GF! But I'm super excited it is!

I can't imagine they wouldn't let us use the TOW lounge either! I think once I explain that we are members but couldn't get a reservation at all through DVC and we were willing to pay cash they'll let us, hopefully!

I can't wait for our meal! Actually, the cost of the meal is very comparable to a meal for 2 at some place like Narcossees or Cali Grill!
