Ok, I'm back with another change and more details!
I love to keep you guys on your toes and, I must say, this has turned into a lot of fun!
Those who guessed that I booked the Grand Floridian were correct! I booked 3 nights, the 21,22 and adding the 23rd, theme park view at GF! I was super excited! Especially with the DVC rental $, the savings from the rental car and the air tickets and the fact that, I forgot to mention last night, that I got the room at an AP rate!
But last night I kinda got to thinking about what DH would really want!
So, I asked him what his favorite resort at WDW is. He asked me why and I told him that one of my dis friends had asked the question in their PTR and I was just curious! So, he went down the line of places we've stayed! WL is his favorite, he really likes Kidani and Jambo House, he liked Poly, GF was, and I quote, "OK, but it didn't feel like Disney." DUH! In hindsight, I should have played the favorite resort game before I changed the reservation!
Then he said he'd like to stay at the Contemporary and Boardwalk at some point!
Hmmmmm, the Contemporary peaked my interest. Not quite and romantic in style but ultimately that's all about personal taste.
I went over this in my head like 5,000 times before I feel asleep last night.
When I got up this morning the first thing I did, after getting coffee, was jump on the disney website and search!
I was COMPLETELY shocked and in awe of what my eyes saw!!
It was perfection and what, ultimately, made me way more excited then GF!!
I called WDW reservations, for like the 900th time in the past few days, and the change was made!
We are now staying here...

Holy moly! I can't even believe it!
3 nights, 21st - 24th, theme park view, 1 bedroom villa at BLT! How the heck did that happen!?
I know this is now really confusing! I am paying cash for BLT, not using DVC points! The 3 nights, 1 bedroom, TPV at BLT is actually $500 cheaper then the reservation I had at GF!
I know for a fact that all the DVC reservations at BLT were taken, I asked every time I called to check on my waitlists. The only way I could have booked BLT through DVC points was to waitlist and pray. The whole cash room at DVC resorts is an area of DVC that still confuses me. I know that a certain amount of any given DVC resort is dedicated DVC, how much depends on the resort. The un-dedicated rooms are cash rooms.
I am still renting my 60 point to my friend.
I'm not going tell DH the sorted details for the changes and plans. I'm probably not going to even tell him that we're paying cash for BLT and about the rental points. I want this to appear as seamless and pain free as possible!
I still have to make a few ADR adjustments!
Unfortunately, I cancelled our Wave ADR on the 21st. That was the park at CR and walk to MK for
MNSSHP ADR. I cancelled it and replaced it with the Grand Floridian Cafe when I reserved GF! I'm going to cancel GFC. I don't think I'm going to replace it with anything and make before MNSSHP on the 21st all about rest and relaxation!
I will be back later, I promise, with a day by day, complete and total breakdown of the trip and the surprise! But, first I have to go through my plans and make sure everything is all set and right!
