You guys are cracking me up!! I may give you a few details but honestly at this point I'm still waiting for a phone back! Which, I must say, is a little annoying! I'm super excited for the idea I have in my head and I want to see it planned out! I have made a few little changes and plans to make the surprise and the week extra romantic and magical!

It is a little frustrating! I think it will all be wonderful in the end though!

I'm definitely going to have at least a little bit of an update later today! I was supposed to receive a call back in 24 to 48 hours. Later today is 48 hours!

So my anxious Dis friend I'm back with an update!

In all honesty I've made so many changes, adjustments, plans, done so much research, made calls etc, etc I'm not even sure where to start and I'm affraid I'll forget something!

I know you're all dying for the surprise detail BUT today is an important day!

We're double digit dancing today!! 99 days until our Dec trip!!! Woo hoo!!​

Sticking with our Dec trip (am I torturing you yet!?) yesterday was the day the dinner packages for the Candlelight Processional went on sale! So being the good diser I am, I was up and ready, coffee in hand, before 7 am! I dialed at 7 am on the dot!

I got a weird rapid, busy signal. I thought maybe, because I didn't have all my wits about me, I had dialed wrong so I dialed again, and again, and again. I checked on Dis and a few other places online to see if I had somehow missed something or somehow was dialing the wrong number. I wasn't.

I dialed again, and again, and again I checked the dining board and I wasn't the only one having this issue! Hmmm!

Like I said, I dialed the phone for the first time at 7 am.

I got through at 8:30!!!!

An hour and a half of busy signals with the occasional "All circuits are busy now" message thrown in!

Finally getting through at 8:30 wasn't the end of it!

I was on hold for over 30 minutes waiting to speak to a CM!!!!!

Over 2 hours after my original call I had finally booked our CP package! I actually got our second choice of Biergarten! Our first choice was Le Cellier, there was no way in heck I was going to get that!

It was so frustrating and annoying! But I got in and that's what counts!

Now, what you've all been waiting for, the surprise!!!!!

Like I said a few days ago, Brook pointed me in the direction of a wonderful TR where the mom planned a spectacular surprise that involved a private lunch, an adventure with Idaho Jones (Indiana Jones' Brother ) a visit from Mickey and a trip on the Grand One! It was truly amazing and the mom who planned the surprise may very well be my idol!

That, of course, got the wheels in my head turning! I had a plan in my head of what I really wanted to do but I didn't know how to pull it off. Reading jaycn's TR made me realize that it may very well be possible!

I started researching online and trying to find out who to call!

This was no easy task! I spent HOURS trying to find who to call!

I stumbled upon info for Gifts of a Lifetime and decided to contact them. What I read indicated that they had set up almost exactly what I wanted in the past! Yippeeee!!!

I waited to hear back, more then a day later I decided to email them again and make sure they had received the survey thing I filled out. I also decided to do some more research of my own.

In my research I found a TR on dis where a couple who was celebrating their first anniversary (they had a disney wedding too!) had an intimate dinner, just the 2 of them! Her TR actually gave phone #'s! Woooo hooo!!! I love this lady!!!

I called one of the numbers! I got a very nice lady named Rebecca who was mighty confused that I was calling her! She even asked where I got her #! I explained I got it on Dis I think she might have thought I was crazy!

Rebecca told me that she planned events for youth groups etc OK, that's not me!

She told me that she would try to connect me with the right person! So, she transferred me!

I spoke to a very nice guy who told me he was in the quinceanera planning department! That would have been perfect if DH was an almost 15 years girl of latin american heritage!

But he took my info and told me that someone would call me back within 24 to 48 hours!

So I waited again.

In the mean time I heard back from Gifts of a Lifetime. I must say, I was kinda disappointed! I was given the option of 2, scavenger hunt type things! Not at all what I wanted. They sounded fun and I'm definitely think about doing it for DD in March but it wasn't the extra special, romantic thing I was looking for! The thing I don't understand is that I was very specific as to what I wanted. Like I said, I read info about more then 1 event they had planned that was just what I was looking for. But the email I got basically said that disney changed the way they do events like I wanted and they found that it could be expensive so they didn't really do it anymore.

Fast forward today! 48 hours from the time I spoke to the quinceanera guy was this afternoon and I hadn't heard back from anyone!

So I decided to call GF directly!

I explained what I was trying to do to the person who answered the phone and was given some sort of manager who gave me the phone # and email for the women, Pat, who is "in charge of that sort of thing!" I prayed this would lead me in the right direction!

I left a message on her voicemail and sent her an email around 4 pm.

She called me back around 7 tonight! She had also just sent an email with details! She was wonderful to talk to and was so willing to help!

I hit the jackpot! We're going in the right direction! I just have to email her back tomorrow with exactly what I want and the ball will be rolling right along! She can take care of all the details!

The fabulous thing is that it isn't nearly as expensive as I thought!

Aside from our dining plans for the evening, which will be made through Pat at GF, I've made a ton of changes and adjustments to make this extra romantic and magical!

First, we where originally supposed to switch from Kidani to SSR on the 21st. I did have Kidani waitlisted for the last few days. But, I made a change. A non-DVC change! I'm not telling where I will tell you if you guess! It's extra romantic and extra magical, very grand change!


I had a debate with myself about actually doing it, but I really wanted to! I know, in my heart, that it will be perfect! But, that left me with 60 DVC points that I really didn't have anything to do with and would potentially lose! But, then it occurred to me that I have a friend through the kids school who is a big WDW fan and going in Nov. She is trying to convince her DH to buy DVC. What better way to do that then to rent my 60 points and stay DVC for 2 nights?! I called her right away and she was so excited! So that's what we're doing! I just have to call in the morning to make their reservation, she has to call to cancel 2 night from their trip!

Next change, I added a night! We'll be going home on the 24th now! (Tracy, mantraa, I'm going to pm you )

I also cancelled the rental car! I couldn't keep it if we weren't going to stay at SSR at all. Not to mention I couldn't justify the $$ along with the surprise!

So, the money from the DVC rental, the savings of not renting a car and the $110 we're saving switching our flight to the 24th more then covers our resort switch! It doesn't cover the surprise, but I'm happy that it's not as much $ as I thought!

WOW! Did I give you a headache yet?! I feel so completely scattered right now!

So, as of now, the surprise includes a secret resort change, it may include a surprise intimate dinner, it may or may not include a visit from a special someone, a trip on the Grand One and an extra night!

There have been more changes that I'll share with you but at this point I'm completely exhausted and spent! I'll be back tomorrow with the rest and hopefully with a TR update!
