Hello Everyone,

This is my first post. I'm so glad I've found these boards. I've learned so much from all of you.

We're taking our first cruise ever on the 1/17 Western. My family (me, dh and dd, age 6) have been assigned to room 6303. It looks like it's as far fwd as we can possibly be! I was wondering if we should be concerned about rolling in that part of the ship. Also, it seems a looong way to the elevators. There are steps indicated on the deck plan right outside our room. Are those for crew only or can we also use them?

Also, our good friends (dad, mom and two girls, ages 3 and 6) are traveling with us. They haven't been assigned a room yet. Does that mean they have a good chance for an upgrade?

Thanks!
Freelion

Welcome to the boards freelion:earsboy:

We are on the same cruise!!! Me, dh, dd10, dd--turning 7 on Sun!! and ds4...oh yeah grandma is coming too!!

Please check out the thread at the top of the boards--Cruise Meets-I think it is called. We have a large group of us going on that date. We have been a little lazy lately but I think as we get closer it will become very active. We will try to set up a few Meets on board and I know a few of us are meeting the night before at the Raddison. So..come on over and introduce yourself there. We will have a blast on this ship.

Sorry- I don't really know the answer to your questions. We are sailing with another family and they have not been assigned a room yet. Personally, I think ANY room would be great as long as it is on the MAGIC:sunny:

Freelion, welcome to the board. You'll find a lot of great info here once you start looking around. And if you have a question you can't find an answer to, just ask, someone will get an answer to you.
I don't think rolling will be a problem, everyone always says mid-ship is best for not feeling the ship move, but unless you get really bad seas/weather you'll be surprise at how much you don't feel it move. :boat:
It does look like a long way for the elevators, but I don't see the stairs you're talking of, do you mean by the elevators?
As far as upgrades go, I asked awhile ago, and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to how one gets a 'pixie dust' upgrade (freebie). So not having a room assigned yet really won't make a difference either way.

Have fun on your cruise and enjoy ourself around here! :wave2:
