Just had to share our experience from last Saturday. We were out and decided to stop at our local 'fast food' stop for a quick lunch. (I won't mention the name but be assured it's a major chain). We ordered our food and DD and DH sat down while I went for ketcup etc. I was reaching for one of those little paper cups to put the ketchup in when I noticed something move ! There were about 20-30 1/2" whoite worms all over the cups, counter and ketchup dispenser. I immediately went to the manager and told them what was there. The manager on duty snickered when I told her...I didn't think anything was funny. She then came around to the condiment area and carried the tray with the worms and the ketchup to the back where the other employees looked and laughed. We remained in the restaurant for about 15 minutes watching. No one ever came to apologize or to clean and disinfect the area. We went home and I immediately called the company which only takes calls from 8-5 on Mon -Fri. Must be nice to be a multi million dollar corporation and not work weekends. And by the way they do not accept e mails either. I called the health department also. It's been quite q week. Three people have been arrested for this 'so called' prank. I will still never enter the restaurant again. Would you? I can understand it being a prank but the way it was handled was wrong. If the employees thought that was funny (they did know the people who pulled the prank-ex employee) what else do they do for fun. They'll never see me again. That's for sure. i want to know what's in my food and that the restaurant is kept properly cleaned.

Update...I suppose making noise and sending the Health Dept doesn't make a difference to a major company. I'm just 1 person. After all my calls and letters all I receive is a 'form' "We're so sorry. This is not our normal practice. We have high standards." Yea right....I'l just "Have it my way and NEVER return. I don't even care if it makes any difference to them at all. I will never subject myself or my family to a restaurant that can't be managed better than this one. I will go some place that cares.

First of all, ewwwwwwwww! :scared1: :faint:  Second, I would never go back there, prank or not!

They put maggots there as a prank???? :crazy2: Given their reaction and the fact that they did not disinfect afterward, no, I would not eat there again.

I wouldn't be eating there again. NO way, no how. Disgusting.

Maggots, yuck!!!!! But I agree with this. If they did not disinfect afterward then there is no way I would return. Prank or not. Whos to say that they would handle it different if it wasn't a prank. Trust me. I would no return and I would be telling my friends the same.

I would never eat there again. Definatly call corporate and let them know. If they never cleaned this up I would hate to see what goes on in the back of the restaurant.

Nope, wouldn't return! I have worked in many restaurants and you don't play that kind of joke.... you don't play any joke that has to do with food and customers.

No. Never. Not handled properly on several levels. No second chance from me.

Over the week I've been in contact with the store manager, franchise manager , corporate headquarters and , oh yes, our local television station. The store wants me to forgive and forget but no way...not when they play with the health of innocent people that way.

If they didn't disinfect after cleaning up maggots, and actually laughed about it...just imagine how well they clean up the tables and the kitchens, etc. They probably don't even think anything of serving food they drop on the floor either. :crazy2: Maybe I shouldn't have watched "Waiting" last week.

Not even if they gave me free meals for the rest of my life. They are taking this way tooo lightly. The entire crew that laughed and did nothing to disenfect the area should all be fired.

 That is truly nasty. I think my head would have exploded :sad2:

Where on earth did they get the maggots?!?!?! I'd be afraid to find out!! :scared: No, I would never eat there again and I would definitely notify the local news station. I'm sure they'd love to expose something like that!!

Call the local health department!

UPDATE: OOPS - I re-read the OP and saw that you did call the health department. What did they say?

OMG!!! That's gross!! Heck no I wouldn't return there!!! Did the Health Department write them up? I would tell everyone I knew about it too...word of mouth is the worst advertisement for any company....even the major chains!! There is no way I would "forgive & forget"!! What if a child had gone up there and gotten the cups and not looked at them??!! I think i'm gonna be sick!! Good job for contacting the news station!! Forgive and forget my tush!!

No way! I would never ever eat there again. The second that you brought that to their attention the restaraunt should have been closed until they knew exactly what was going on.

I couldn't go back there again, no way!

That is just disgusting!! :crazy2: No way would I ever go back there again!!
