I don't believe in practical jokes and especially where it can effect health. So, I do not see the humor in it and would do what you did - call the health department.

I am going to guess...you said "have it my way" and quoted it in your update. Isn't that part of Burger King's slogan? (Your way, right away or something like that). So I guess BK!
Whoever it was, not very good customer service.

I won't eat at Burger Sling anyway. Back in my teen years, a good friend was working at one of their stores in Pomona, CA, and saw another employee drop a patty down under the grill where it's really nasty, then pick it up and put it on the grill and cook it. I just find their food kind of disgusting anyway. Kudos to the OP for doing her best to bring the problem to the attention of whoever might listen! I don't know why no one seemed to care, but I appreciate the effort!
