I'm so excited! I made 10 t-shirts for my DSs to wear on our Disney trip in Sept. I'm pretty pleased with how well they turned out and they ended up costing less than $2.00 each!

I used Disney Print Shop (Mickey and Crew), Hanes white shirts and ink jet transfer paper and Voila!

The boys had a blast picking out what pictures would be on their shirts. I even got lucky when making a birthday shirt. The program will let you 'flip' the image but not any text that you add. Fortunately, I was able to my son's name in capital letters backwards and it worked----- MATT/TTAM. Now we have a shirt with Mickey holding up Happy Birthday and Matt written underneath him.

I'm not usually this successful with my crafts. Normally, they look 'home-made'. These look like I bought them somewhere!

I just had to share my excitement!

My DS designs a lot of T-shirts this way, it can be a lot of fun.
FYI - check out the features on your printer to see if you can print a mirror image. I have a HP photosmart and when I click on the properties box before printing there is a features tab and then a box for mirror image. (my older printer does not have this feature) This way you don't have to flip the images or your text.

Twigs,

I couldn't figure out how to get the properties box to come up when I was using this print shop. It doesn't give me a regular looking toolbar. There are just the 'Disney' buttons with a print option.

I'm still toying with using a Disney Font to print their names on the back of the shirts, but I've got to go get more transfer paper. I'm also a little torn about having their names on the shirts because of safety issues. Of course, it would really add to the magic if one of the characters called them by name. I guess that I'll debate it with myself on the way to the store for more paper!:teeth:

What I was talking about was changing the setting of your printer(if it has this feature), not something in the software program. When I have done this I click Print setup under the file bar, then change the printer property settings.

Ahhhh.
::yes::

I get it!

I went to settings and tried to do it, but apparently my printer doesn't have that option. I'm not surprised. It was cheap when we bought it several years ago.

But thank you for the suggestion!

on my printer it's called t shirt transfer (on the cannon i850) and on the other printer it's called mirror image. maggie

Once again I feel like such a computer loser! I tried to make shirts for my son Bday in Hershey Park. Copied a picture off the map and flipped it on a copy machine then I scanned it in my computer but everytime I tried to copy it it came out too small. I have terrible scanner and the software so I gave up!!! So I tyed them and then wrote with fabric paint Hershey Park Fun 2004 on the front and then gave each child a candy bar name and write that on the back. We got so many comments on the them and they did turn out cute but I sure wish I could firgure out crafts on the computer:crazy:
