Made our first DVC reservation today!

Okay, I know that in reality, no one really truly cares that I made my first DVC reservation today. However, you're all more likely to even come close to caring than anyone else I know, so I just had to share! We're taking my extended family (17 of us) to WDW next July and got two 2 bedroom villas. One of the 2 bedrooms is a dedicated lakeview and the other is a lock off standard view. I'm just thrilled and today more than any other day since we purchased, I'm so excited to own (atleast for several years) at BLT! Okay, I'm done now. Thank goodness for the DIS! Not sure where else I could post something as unimportant as this! Somehow, I just didn't think Facebook would be appropriate!

Thank you! I've been so excited to have enough points to be able to take my entire family! I was so worried I wouldn't be able to get what I wanted even at 11 months since I knew I needed two 2 bedroom villas. To top it off, I was looking at 2011's calendar, so I have thought all along that I was supposed to call tomorrow to make my reservation, and then late this afternoon, I realized it was today that I was supposed to call. It all worked out though and the lady that helped me at MS was wonderful!

Congrats! I'm still chomping at the bit, I need to wait until September 16th to book our first DVC trip ever next August at our new "home" at AKL!!!!

Congrats, We did like you guys did way back when we bought into Beach Club. Now our family is not as big as yours but my wife and I brought our entire immediate family ( 1 brother on each side and each of our moms) Needless to say it was the first and last time we did that.

Thanks, everyone! I just wanted two of the 2 bedroom villas. They had one LV available and several standard views. I decided my family would take the LV. We've all traveled together several times but usually on DCL. They will all be there, trust me (especially if I'm paying for the stay!). We're letting our two kids take friends this time around also, and they are very excited to be doing that. It's just so much fun to get to make a DVC reservation without getting out the credit card. Of course, my DH reminds me that we did pay for this vacation!

Wow what a great trip you have planned! It sounds wonderful. Those of us here totally understand the excitement of your first DVC reservation! There is somthing magical about calling MS and making your trip "official". I can be happy for weeks after!

Thanks, everyone! I have my countdown going over on the member's site. We have a big trip coming up before our Disney one, so I'm hoping our countdown will go quickly. We've only dreamed of staying at the Contemporary in the past, so I'm sure that walking in to our rooms at BLT for the first time will be kind of like the first time I stepped foot on DCL--kind of a tearful and surreal moment. Can't wait!
