I just called and made my reservation at T-Rex for our first night, I am officially done with that part of the planning! It's not stopping me from obsessing about my choices though, how did I do?

It's our first trip, me (30), dh (35), ds (6), and ds (4). We eat at restaurants regularly, and like sit-down meals, but we aren't food snobs. we like nice places, but also visit the local diner and the pizza place quite a bit.

Here's our list:

Arrival night - T-Rex @ 6:30 - not my pick (I would have voted for raglan road), but ds-4 is a dinosaur nut so we have to try it

Day 1 - Chef Mickey's breakfast @ 7:25 - wish it was a little later, but best I could do

Day 2 - Whispering Canyon @5:35 - want to try this, but since we are staying at WL we might go for lunch one day and cancel this one

Day 3 - Biergarten @ 6:35 - excited to try this, think the kids will love the music

Day 4 - Boma @ 5:00 - also excited about this, have heard great things about it

Day 5 - Coral Reef @ 6:30 - most worried about this one, I really want to try it and I think the kids will LOVE the aquarium, but some of the bad reviews are scaring me. I think I want to try it anyway, but this is dh's birthday so I really hope it's ok

Day 6 - Artist Point @ 6:30 - my kid's are very well behaved in restaurants, but still a little worried that couples will be annoyed that we have little kids with us on valentine's day.

Day 7 - no ADRs planned, we'll grab a CS breakfast and try to do as much as possible before ME takes us to airport

Thanks for giving me your opinions!

Hi Anne!

Those sound wonderful! I'm sure you'll have a great time. We are also trying the T-Rex while there...The kiddies should love it. I would have prefered Raglan Road also. Maybe next trip!

We've had good experiences at Coral Reef and we'll be eating there again in Feb for DD's 6th b-day (her request).

I was nervous to try Boma, but went there after hearing the great reviews. It has become one of our favorites. I think you'll like it.

Can I recommend O'Hana at the Polynesian? It is also one of our faves.

Have a magical vacation and Good eatin'!

They sound all pretty good. We ate at T-Rex in early December and while the food is very good, the place is very loud. It makes it hard to talk to people in your party. My son who is 2 and loves Dinosaurs was not to thrilled with the noise. Most of the time he had his hands over his ears. Just thought I would let you know in case any of your children had a noise sensitivity. Hope you have a wonderful time.

I think they sound fantastic...the only one I would change is Boma because DH and I didnt like it at all...nothing wrong with it except the food is not to our tastes

Thanks for the replies, I am now forcing myself to let the ADR's stand and move on to other planning.

Today is one month until our trip and even though I have never planned this much for any other trip I still feel like there is so much to do!

Just made mine today for April and we have some of the same. Biergarten is the whole families favorite. We love the music and the food. Whispering Canyon is a riot. We loved it. The food was good and the kids still tease their sister about when she dropped her fork and they brought her a giant one.
We are doing T-rex again. We tried it in November and really liked it. I know they are owned by the same company, but we liked it better than Rainforest. The appetizer sampler came in a huge tower and was my meal (it was great). And it does have a neat atmosphere.
You have some great choices, enjoy.

Making our ADR's tomorrow...

Your lineup looks good...Boma is our absolute favorite, one of the few places we will do twice if schedule permits. We have been there many times and while the food is "different" our whole family loves it.

Whispering Canyon, Biergarten and chef Mickeys are also fun choices

enjoy !!

They sound great!

As for taking the kids to a nice restaurant unless the children act up I don't think it's a problem. If someone is annoyed by well behaved children there are plenty of restaurants not at Disney World they can go to and have better luck dining adults only.

I think your dining plans sound great! We had dinner at Jiko once on Valentines day and even at 8 pm there were a number of tables that had kids. In my opinion well behaved kids (and it sounds like your kids are used to restaurants!) are no problem at all!

Have a great trip! :goodvibes
