Regarding the most fun things to do at DTD, I like the Irish dance show at Raglan Road. T-Rex might also be a fun place to take your DD.

Another non-seafood eater agreeing that Coral Reef is a fun dining experience and they do have some non-seafood entrees. For years I avoided Coral Reef because I thought it was only seafood. I finally tried a non-seafood meal there on my last trip, and because of the unique atmosphere, now I plan to go again on my next trip! The food was good, too.

Thanks so much for the downtown Disney tips!! :thumbsup2

We haven't tried Coral Reef yet but the tanks look pretty cool! I hear you on the benefits of having a booth with young children. We fortunately don't need it as much anymore now that our younger one is almost 5 but I used to love having the feeling of being able to "box in" the toddler so that they can't just decide to walk off in a random direction in the middle of the meal. :rotfl:

You have summed up our love for the round booth at Coral Reef!! :rotfl:

YAY for a fantastic meal at Coral Reef!! I know all about eating with toddlers...ugh!! My last TR update was all about an awful night at Artist Point with miss Aria LOL! So glad your meal was great though. I laughed at you saying you always want to turn around and run back into the park -exactly how I feel when we leave!

That is a great location to sit in. You don't have a lot of heads to try and dodge, yet you're far enough back to see the entirety of the tank. :thumbsup2

Looks like your DH and you ordered all my favorites. :rotfl: The Mahi and the Lobster Bisque really are the best dishes at Coral Reef. Not to mention, you can't get them at many other places in the park (well the coconut lime seasoning with mahi mahi at least) so it kind of makes it a unique dining experience.

I'm glad your DD let you sit through the whole meal! :thumbsup2 That makes for one great dinner. You get to actually taste your food!

Eating with toddlers is quite a roller coaster!! Hard to predict - that's for sure! :rotfl:

It was the PERFECT location!! And the food was great! :cutie:

The food looks nice!
Cute that your little one likes soup so much. :)
Good job on getting the Beverly reaction from your hubby! Poor hubby! lol.

Hi Julie! Playing DIS catch-up after Spring Break!

I was really interested to read about your experience at Coral Reef. We haven’t been since our first trip when Willow was three; we had a great meal there, but I know what you mean about the mixed reviews. Sounds like you had a great meal too! I had the same thing as your DH, so I know that was good! Your choices look great too.

Beautiful nighttime Epcot pictures!

So sorry the TR is soon coming to an end, but I can’t believe how fast your cruise is coming up!!! :woohoo:

If we didn't have the cruise planned, I would dragging this TR on as long as possible --- writing it is almost like an extension of the trip!! :thumbsup2

My Favorite TR so far! I am also from VA, planning a Nov trip, preferably at the Yacht and/or Beach club (I'm undecided :confused3). This TR will be helpful for us since we are also a small family, however our DD will be 5 when we plan on visiting! Thanks for your TR; hope you will be writing another soon!

Awww, thanks so much! So glad you are enjoying the TR! :lovestruc

RVA? We love that area - spent an awesome weekend there this winter!

Loved reading about Captain's Grille - it's one of those places I know is there but always forget about. Sounds like you had a great "last breakfast." :(

We woke up on our last day at WDW to rain! I guess if you have to leave, its best to do it on a dreary, rainy day! :worried:

That's true I guess. Might make it a little easier to leave than a beautiful bright sunshiny day.

Wow, wow, wow. I am always (no matter how many pictures I see) in awe of the YC. It's so gorgeous! Boardwalk was at the top of my wish list, but YC is slowly catching up, maybe even passing it.
Breakfast looks delish! I like that you can choose either the buffet or a menu item. That's really cool.

Not gonna lie Julie, I kinda like it when it's raining on departure day. It kinda takes the sting out of it a little.

I'm glad you got to enjoy a nice relaxing final meal. Ugh "final meal"... that just sounds so sad. :(

Aww departure days are the worst! At least it wasn't a beautiful sunny day.

That breakfast looks delicious! Great way to end the trip!

Departure days are the absolute, stinkin worst... I would almost rather it be sunny, rainy just fits too much with my departure day mood... :) With our weekend trip coming up, I know I am going to go into a depression bc we will only be there 2.5 days.. Oh well, either way- at least we get to go again..

I will have to check out CG. I have heard it is a hidden gem too!

I hope to stay at YC one day!!

"Final meal" makes it sound so sad ... like your vacation is on death row

"Magical Depress" is a pretty funny term though :lmao:

Definitely agree with you - 2 years olds will figure out a way to make a mess out of whatever you give them

It was a great option to have --- kind of a hidden secret! :thumbsup2

The YC was really gorgeous! We had never seen it before this trip, and just fell in love. Though we do love WL too. Can't go wrong! :cheer2:

We loved being able to choose buffet or off the menu!! :)

Not much can take the sting out of leaving WDW...but it helped just a little. :guilty:

It was a great breakfast to leave the trip --- always nice to leave on a high note!! :goodvibes

Weekend trips are awesome....but never quite long enough. Anytime at WDW is better than none though! Have a great trip!! :cool1:

Haha, maybe "final meal" is a little dramatic...but it is a sad feeling. Especially when you don't know when you'll be back!

And yes, 2-yr olds are pretty skilled at mess-making! :hyper:
