Is this currently a Tier 1 or Tier 2? I have seen it both ways on different websites. Thanks.

It's currently a Tier 1. There have been reports it moves back to Tier 2 on the date that Soarin' is opened.

I can't check that far in advance for you.

I booked my FP+ for Soarin', Mission Space, and Spaceship Earth on 7/4. I couldn't have gotten 2 Tier 1????

I think that might depend on WHEN you booked them.

On 7/4, Mission Space is a Tier 2 ride; Soarin' opens in mid-June - that's when Mission Space becomes Tier 2.
