I had a few traditional mojitos onboard the Magic on the 2/9-2/16/08 cruise, and can confirm, they are made the RIGHT way and not with spearmint syrup. Of course there is simple syrup in the ingrediants, which also include rum, crushed/muddled spearmint leaves, lime juice and club soda. They were very good, and just about identical in taste to the way they make them in Bongo's in Downtown Disney in WDW. My DW LOVED the pineapple mojitos - she is STILL talking about them 1-1/2 months later! So have no fear and drink up!

Great news. I made the mistake of having a Mojito at one of the WDW resort lounges. YUCKO. That mint syrup is GROSS. Glad to hear the ones on the ship are similar to the ones at Bongos (which I love).

Is it with a hard "J" sound (like jump) or a spanish "j" sound (like Jose)?

On our last cruise the bartender suggested a "mexican mojito" substituting Patron Blanco Tequila instead of light rum. I'd highly recommend it.

Man, there's the answer to the "do they have other flavors?" question! As long as they have the correct flavored rum, they'll be able to make any of those on the ship! Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful menu!

Caipirinha - the best I can do to describe it is say that it's like a mojito, but without the soda water. So it's limier and rummier. Also, I've usually had them brown, as opposed to white, sugar. I'm sure they are made different ways different places, but the one I had in the Promenade Lounge was great!
