I hope this is how you start a Planning Journal; I couldn't find any other place to start one, so I'll just start a new thread for it. If there is another way to start it please let me know and I'll do that so as not to take up space!!
SO ... most journals seem to start out about how the bride and groom met. In fall of 2006 I had given up on dating period. Then I heard so many stories about people meeting on Match. com. So I joined. In October, which is now my favorite month, of course, I saw this guy's advertisement. I got a good feeling from what I read and had to contact him. I heard from him over the next couple of hours over email and we have not stopped talking a day since! Even if our schedules are too busy to see each other we have to talk a couple of times a day.
I love my honey! He proposed on our one year anniversary with his mother's ring, in our house (he is a shy one), and it is finally getting close enough to our wedding date to get excited about planning!! YEA!! I love my honey very much. He is indeed my best friend. He takes my temper tantrums with a grain of salt (you know ladies, PMS-ing lol) and says he loves me no matter what. He has helped me through weight gain with my thyroid when I was depressed, and through finding 'the job', and everything else. Nothing makes me smile more than to see him just walk in the room, because the first thing I know he'll want is a hug and a kiss.
It's not perfect, nothing is, but it's as close to perfect as it can get. I can't wait to marry him!! He is studying to be an x ray tech and graduates this summer, and I am going on job interviews to be either an administrative assistant or an HR assistant; I really want to get into HR eventually. I just graduated from OU in July.
We don't have a specific date because my mom and I are waiting until it's a year to call and get an exact date we can have for Sea Breeze Point. Below is a rough sketch of our day:
Rehearsal Dinner - Ohana's at Polynesian Resort
Ceremony - morning, not sure what time, at Sea Breeze Point
Reception - The Attic; a morning brunch with Mickey and perhaps the Un-Invited guests ...
Evening - Dessert Party Illuminations! My favorite fireworks show!
I am thrilled to be on this board and hope to make many friends and learn a lot about being a Disney Bride. I will be posting pictures and things later on ... I really look forward to hearing from everyone!!
