Aisle Petals
One thing I have insisted on this whole time is fuchsia rose petals scattered in the aisle – not mounds and mounds, just a scattering. I think it will look really nice in pictures. Everybody keeps telling me they will blow away before the ceremony, but I don’t care. If I want to throw away 50 bucks on MIA rose petals, I can! [stamps foot]

Ok - I just found the above in your planning journal. Were you charged just $50 for the petals on your aisle? If so, what are they charging me $700 for? I can do $50 or even $100 but $700 is just too much. I am also going to go with getting my petals for the petal toss from them. Like you said $3.50 a bag and they set them out on the chairs for you is fine as opposed to making them myself. I actually already purchased a box of bubbles at Michaels with a 50% off coupon so they were really inexpensive. I haven't returned them yet so I might just do a combo of petals and bubbles.

Were you charged just $50 for the petals on your aisle? If so, what are they charging me $700 for?

The $50 was for just rose petals. If I had asked for mounds of rose petals, it would have been more, but I just wanted a scattering. I think the $700 is, as you surmised, for a fabric aisle runner with petals on top of it (which, if they're both red, kinda defeats the purpose of the petals cuz you won't be able to see 'em!). I bet you just need to clarify with your floral planner that all you want is the petals - when they aren't sure, they seem to err on the side of expensive!

Also, regarding bubbles, I have to say they just don't seem to show up as well as petals in pictures - if that's important to you.

As far as bubbles go - yes after looking at alot of photos I realize you do not see the bubbles as well as the petals. We are definately doing petals and as the package of bubbles I purchased was about 20 I might just bring these also and have a few guests use them. This would combine the petals and bubbles together.

We struck up a conversation with a family there, and it turned out the dad not only works at Epcot in special events, but he knows our wedding planner! AND he told us they’d just done a scuba wedding in the Living Seas tank! (And our WP thought our wedding was unusual?!).

They had the second tank wedding the weekend of our big day. It was the first for our coordinator and she was so nervous about it. I am definitely curious to see how Disney does these, it would be cool to see some pictures some day.

i remember marion talking about this during my wedding and i made the comment, "i guess that bride doesn't have to worry about getting her dress on a plane..."

OK, so, as Boo discovered, Sage has posted a demo of our wedding video on her site. Let me warn you, some of the edits are real head-scratchers (i.e., 40 seconds of buildup to our first look, but no actual first look, just a cut to me on the stairs... ), but the full video hangs together better.

I loved your video! It was so awesome! I will be trying to recreate that myself (with help from my MAC) with the vieos taken at our wedding. Your cake was stunning! It was so amazing! I also loved the flower petals! You were a beautiful bride. I do love the locket hanging down your back so much I am going to try to get one for my Mom's picture!
