Hi All-

I will be headed to Saratoga Springs for a week with my DD and her friend. On one of those days my Mom and her husband will be driving up from Tampa to visit us at the resort. I made res at Boma for dinner but they just told me they would leave by dinner time. So the question: any recommendations for lunch? The only caveat: not in any of the parks, resorts fine, but we will not going into the parks that day. Any suggestions would be welcomed!! Thanks all

The Turf Club at SSR would be great for lunch, or you could always head to DTD and go to one of the many restaurants there...not sure if you are on the dining plan but Wolfgang Puck Express is a great bang for your buck as a CS option.

I would either go with Kona at the Poly or Wolfgang Puck Express in Downtown Disney. Great food at both!

DH and I really enjoyed a recent dinner at the Turf Club. Consider that. Then if you wanted to walk around DTD you could take the boat. The dock is right outside the restaurant.

We like to eat at Wolfgang Puck Express even when we are not on the dining plan. They have a wide selection of entrees for lunch and dinner. Only drawback not a lot of dessert options, I like their brownies.

Grand Floridian Cafe or the Cabana Bar and Grill at the Dolphin. Those are must do lunches for us every trip.

I always have TS at lunch, not dinner. My recent favorite was Sanaa. Also, that way they can walk around and see the animals before they leave, as time allows.

I would pick a restaurant in DTD since you are so close to it. They have many great places to eat too!

Although we really like the Turf Club if time allows I would suggest a trip to a different resort and restaurant. Our top recommendations would be Grand Floridian Cafe (best Cobb Salad on the property) or Sanaa at Kidani Village. DDT may be close, but it's a pretty commercial environment, not as quiet and pretty as the resorts. If you're thinking more of a counter service lunch the selections at Wolfgang Puck Express (DDT) are very tasty. If you'd like a sit down lunch we'd go with GFC or Sanaa.

I often take people to Kona. The food is really fantastic and the service is always great. Even though it's an older hotel people like to visit the Polynesian. It just feels like you've gone to Hawaii for a bit!

I echo Wolfgang Puck Express (or Cafe) in DTD. Excellent food and very generous portions. If you do their Quick Service version (the Express), even though you order at the counter they'll then seat you and take care of you from there, and I found that they have some of the kindest and most competent dining room assistants I've encountered in WDW (they'll refill your drinks, bring you your food, pre-bus the table if you want to chat, bring out your dessert when you're ready for it, etc.). Do the main Express, not the West Side one, in my opinion. A larger and more diverse menu.

Another option for a QS lunch is The Contempo Cafe in the CR. Great flatbreads, excellent desserts, and competent service. It can be difficult to find a table at peak meal times, but they always open up eventually.

Beaches & Cream at the BC is good, but they don't take reservations and the waits can grow to astonishing lengths very quickly.

If Paradiso 37 is open for lunch, their menu looks delicious, but we haven't tried it ourselves yet.

Most of our lunches are in the parks, so those are the ones I can think of.

Have fun!
