Hi all!
This is week 2 for DD in first grade, and I have been putting a handwritten note on an index card in her lunch daily. It's such a hit, she looks forward to it everyday. I am starting to run out of ideas, anyone else have any ideas for notes? I would like to start a big compilation of notes and poems, riddles, jokes, etc.
#1 You are our star! Hope you have a bright and shiny day! (Picture of a star)
#2 You are sweeter than a honey bee! Hope your day is buzz-y and fun! (Picture of a cute bee)
#3 Sending you love and hugs! Can't wait to see your smile when you get home! (XOXO)
#4 You are the COOLEST kid we know! Have a GREAT day! (Picture of an ice cream cone)

Oh and they also had these other ones at Valentines that were called 'little hugs' or something and they were little hearts with arms. There was a message on each heart, and the arms folded over the message so when they unfolded the 'hug' there was a sweet message
