Oh Erin - you sure have had it tough lately but have handled it like a true princess princess: with beautiful grace! That had to be the coldest 3 miles - you go girl :cool1:

Ballys - is this the challenge thing? well 8 weeks will go by soooo quickly & you surely can't work out outisde in this snow :rolleyes: You can always pretend you are walking through MK!

Are you a definite for the OC marathon? is family going?

Hope today has improved for you! & give that scale a kick for me too :D
 
:grouphug: Good morning, everyone. Thanks for stopping by. I'm SO late this morning and it's my LOONNNNG day, so I won't be able to stop by journals. Please know I'm thinking of each and every one of you and cheering you on :cheer2: to healthy choices!

I've got to get in this plan, though. It's January 20, 2005

1. Devotions: 17/31 :D
2. Vitamins: 18/31 :D
3. Water--17/31 :D
4. Exercise--no time today. Will stay steady at 13/31. It's my day off!
5. Food--Amanda, writing it ALL down really helped keep me accountable. Thank you so much! B--Oat bran Eng. muffin w/one egg. (4), coffee w/soy and 1/2 and 1/2 (1), L--Subway lo-carb chicken bacon wrap w/nonfat mustard sauce. S--apple, cheesestick, veggies, s.f. hot chocolate, D--s.f. nonfat yogurt w/almonds. 14/31 :D
6. Scale--down a pound! :blush: 19 :D /31

OK, I want to stay and write awhile, but I really must get going. My morning is going to be frantic! :flower:

:) So happy to see you are down a pound! Keep writing girlfriend and I know you will have success! Sometimes we just need a little reminder to do the most basic things. I know that I need them from time to time! Enjoy your day off from exercise and try to do something for yourself today ;)

I got the half training schedule from about.com. Is your long distance day on Sunday? Should we be checking the calendar and setting some dates for some training walks? Looks like there might be a group of 4 - 7 of us WISHers in OC! :grouphug: We may have to plan a Saturday evening victory party! ::yes::

Erin, I'm so sorry about your car and that your gym isn't the nicest. I got lucky, mine is pretty old too but it's very bright and cheery, it has big windows in the front so you natural sunlight coming in too. I wish you could come workout with me! :hug:

4. Exercise: I think the chart says 3 miles for today. I hope to get to Bally's to do some strength training, too. Doreen, I had to alter the schedule a bit to get Thurs. as my day off, so tomorrow is supposed to be my 7 miler. I'm figuring it'll be on the treadie in the p.m. I'll watch the snow coming down!
Edit: went to Bally's and did 45 min. on the treadie and a whopping 5 min. of strength training. Hmmm, I see some room for growth there. :rolleyes:

5. Food: I'm writing it all down and will go for my target of 24 points plus activity points. Tonight is Friday Night Pizza night in our house. Instead of fighting it, I'm going to plan for it point-wise and enjoy it thoroughly.
Edit: Realized with my lb. gone, I have to go down to 22 points. Ya gotta take the good with the bad, I guess. Good-bye 2 points! :wave:
B--slice of whole wheat toast (1.5) and tbsp. pb (2), coffee (1), second coffee (.5) S--banana (2) and (1) of walnuts. L--kashi (3) and 1/2 cup 1% milk (1). Total so far today: 12. Earned 3 AP at gym.
Edit: S--orange and a cheesestick (3), D--salad w/balsamic vinaigrette (gotta check this) and 2 slices of pizza w/roasted peppers (18). I've got to find out how many flex this is going to cost me, but they're in the bank, so no biggie. 15/31 :D

As I was driving home from taking DD to school, I was struck again with the thought of how grateful I am to have all of you WISH friends in my life. :grouphug: I feel like I'm in a time in my life of great change--I'm watching my DD get ready for high school and take big steps in her own life, and I'm seeing my body and my needs as a woman change, too. I'm taking on new challenges. To have all of you in my life as an almost CONSTANT support network for healthy living and positive attitude is an amazing and wonderful gift. I am truly blessed to know you--in person and/or on-ine.

Doreen, Amanda, Beth, MaryEllen, Tracy, MaryAnn, Michelle, Sundie, Terry, Jen, Melanie, NancyJ, Lisa C., and all who have been part of my WISH journey this last 17 mos.: thank you. :blush:

Woo hoo Erin! Congratulations on the 5lb clippie.

I totally agree with you on the support here at WISH! It is amazing and unlike anything else.

I'm hopping to get to the store tonight so I'll be prepared for our BIG SNOW STORM tomorrow. Pajama party tomorrow is right. Poor DH has guards this weekend. Maybe he won't have to go in Sunday!

We must've partied too hard though, because today I woke up, had an aura and began a migraine. I had some coffee, took some Exedrin Migraine and am now at work and waiting for a student. I'm a bit nauseaus and have had a few more flickering lights, but am functional. Can't ask for more than that. :D
I'm just going to progress slowly through the day. Those pesky auras are a good thing--they let me know what's coming and if I react quickly enough, I avoid some major discomfort.

This afternoon I was supposed to have 23 kids here at the studio for a piano event, but it's been postponed to next weekend because of the impending snow storm. That'll give me some time to get some things done at home and a chance to do my long walk on the treadie. I'm not going to rush it, just a slow and steady 7 mile walk this afternoon if I'm feeling up to it.

Here's how things are looking:

1. Devotions: 19/31 :D It was about keeping a holy Sabbath day to nurture oneself in a spiritual way (no shopping!).
2. Vitamins: 20/31:D
3. Water: drank my quota. 19/31 :D
4. Exercise: walked my 7 miles. I'm proud of myself. 15/31 :D
5. Food: Coffee w/1/2 and 1/2 first thing (1), oat bran eng. muffin w/2 tbsp. pb (6). L: roasted pepper hummus, 1/2 cup (4), triscuit triangles(4)Target for the day 22 plus 7 activity points.
6. Scale: 21/31 :D

I'm going to have some green tea before my next child comes. Hopefully I'll stop around later. . .

Update: came home from work, slept for 2 hours and woke up to a beautiful winter wonderland. Feeling much better. Gonna hit the treadie.
