LuLaRoe and Disney?

One of them ordered a ton of Valentine's Day leggings and is still trying to get rid of those things.

Oh no, I'm sorry she's struggling. I really think one of the reasons the valentines leggings flopped is that people were SO put off over the Christmas ones. It was crazy trying to find someone just willing to sell a pair, no outfits, no roulette, no drawings, just sell me some leggings cash and carry.

Can someone explain to me why this is a thing?
Remember Tupperware parties and stuff like that? This is the latest craze. People are Lularoe consultants and sell it. Now there are apparently Disney themed ones.

Really, really soft pants. They sell other styles as well, dresses, skirts, tops. Many of their styles are flattering to plus size figures, and they have become SUPER popular.

The way the model works is consultants order by style, not pattern. So a consultant orders a box of one size leggings and a box of tall and curvy leggings and gets what they get. In turn they have to try and sell what they get. Many consultants have gotten stuck with patterns they can't move (see Roxyfire's post) and are stuck with money tied up in inventory.

Each pattern is only made in limited quantities to drive up demand. So while one consultant might get a box with a bunch of cute mickey patterns that everyone wants, another might get a box with one cute mickey pattern and a bunch of other patterns no one wants. (having paid for all of it) This leads the consumer to try and "hunt" for the special mickey pants from multiple consultants. If that's your thing, then go for it. I wish you well. For many of us, it's not and not worth my time to only see them sold for more than retail on ebay.

The consultants are going onto eBay to drive the price of the leggings up so no one will buy them. They have already been reported to the home office, because this is against policy. I am a consultant. I know some of you may not personally like LuLaRoe, but it has done great things for my personal growth and my family. Not every business is for everyone. But just remember that for some of us, LuLaRoe has been a great thing. And this new collaboration with Disney let's me have two of my favorite things rolled into one. And for that, I am excited and grateful

Not important at all. In fact, all it takes is money. Which means that the owners of a company can pay the price to shut down the park.

No kidding.

To say nothing of the leggins that look like they have male parts coming out of the crotch. Or rips that expose the customer's behind. Oh, and we've all seen the Santa waving as he emerges from the "chimney."

Oh, and don't forget to hand wash your clothes, and hang to dry. Because everyone has time to do that.

I wonder how much Lularoe paid for the use of Disney characters?

All to say, LEGGINGS AREN'T PANTS.
To each their own.

One of my close friends is a consultant - not into prints, but I'm wearing one of the only solid dresses she was able to score. I'll buy at least one item if she gets the Disney collection, but I would hate to go out of my mind hunting stuff down at wild prices. I really love the solid pieces, but some of the way the prints are stitched together...yeesh.

Oh that makes sense. I guess if you make a fake account under a fake name it doesn't really matter whether you get banned or not. I don't dislike the consultants or anything, I just hate to see companies take advantage of women who want to work from home, that's all.

Considering they're up to 18,000 yes, yes they will. While the rest of us sit here and shake our heads.
Big difference between bidding that much and actually paying it. I 100% guarantee no one will actually pay 18,000 for leggings. My guess is those bidding are all fake ebay accounts.

wow, ok. It didn't even occur to me people would do that. You think it's to drive interest in the product?

So , let me get this straight, they punish their sales consultants by forcing them to buy already hard to move merchandise with low demand in the hopes that the consultant will get one or two pieces with higher demand?

Someone needs to explain that to me because this sounds like the worst pyramid scheme ever

That seem about right, actually!
