we arrive on fri and have a car service round trip and I jusrt saw about the construction at Orlando airport and to allow possibly extra time

we have a flight for 120pm and the service will pick us at 1050am

will this give us enough time with the construction--
has anyone been at the airport while the work is going on

was it busier then usual
thanks

Personally, I'd feel better to leave 3 hours before my flight. MCO is always a mess with security, even compared to London Heathrow which is huge. Last weekend, our TSA Precheck line took longer than the advertised time estimate for the regular line.
We like to eat lunch/dinner at the gate, so we don't want to have to miss that time just to catch our flight.
We flew in late Friday night and the construction traffic was awful. We got stuck in it twice while our shuttle to the off airport hotel exited our side and then drove to B side. We flew home Monday morning 10am, and saw no signs of construction.

You’ll be fine. The only major construction right now is the APM to/from Airside 4, which is all Southwest gates. Only one of the two tracks is running, but they have buses running at certain times to supplement.

I went through on Thursday it was Airside 2 that had a track shutdown, which is almost all Southwest gates. Airside 4 is the Delta airside, which does have some Southwest gates, which also has a track shutdown at times for international arrivals. The line to get into Airside 2's APM was back to the Precheck scanners at 0930 when Precheck itself was a walk up.

Oh, sorry, I had the airside number wrong. That said, basically, unless you’re flying Southwest, it’s smooth sailing. If you’re in Terminal C (JetBlue and lots of international airlines), you won’t be affected whatsoever. Just flew out of terminal C this morning.

I had emailed the car service about the construction at the airport get their opinion since it looked like they had already added extra time. 1050am for a 120pm flight.
But now they’re picking us up at 1015
We do have pre TSA. Hoping that will help
Thanks for the reply’s
Although I’m not sure how retu got in the title
