If I split my week between resorts, will Disney transfer my stuff from the room that I'm checking out of into the room I want to check into? Or will I have to store my stuff for the entire day while I'm in the parks, pick it up after 4 o'clock and check it into the next place?

You can call Bell Services and they will pick up your luggage and have it transferred to the next resort for you. You will still have to claim it at Bell Services at the second resort- they won't automatically deliver it to your room.

Be sure to take anything with you that might be needed for the day, as it often takes several hours for the transfer. You might be able to get into your room and the luggage still might be in transit.

We do this every year since we usually split time between two resorts. Well worth the tip to the Bell staff since we're usually a group of 7 or 8. Just call the Bell desk when you're ready to check-out and they'll handle it for you.

I just returned from a split stay between BCV and SSR

BCV forgot to tag my perishable food items so they turned bad. I was reimbursed for this.

also SSR does not deliver directly to your room or if you are not home.

BCV apparently does.

Also BCV forgot to transfer my bags to SSR so we waited really long to get our bags.

On our last trip we transfered our luggage from Pop Century to Wilderness Lodge to the Animal Kingdom. Be sure to call about your luggage when you get to your new room. It took them upto an hour after we called the bell man for the luggage to be delivered. At all of these places they delivered the luggage to the room.

On our last trip in December we moved resorts twice. Once from AKL to WL, and then once from WL to YC. Each time I called the bell services desk once we were ready to check out, and they were up at the room in 5-10 minutes to pick up the luggage.

Just make certain that when you call down there you tell them how many pieces you want them to transfer, and where it is going, and then when the bellhop arrives at your room re-confirm with him your destination.

The baggage transfers usually take place between 1 and 3 P.M, so don't expect to get your luggage anytime before 3:30. Once you get to your room and it is after 3:30 you can call down to bell services, give them your luggage id number that you should have received from your previous resort, and they should bring your luggage up rather quickly.

If we ever come to the point of transferring resorts again I wouldn't hesitate to use this service.
