Luggage tags

My paperwork and vouchers and stuff came in the mail today for my September trip! Yay!! I love my little complementary luggage tags... so cute, all pretty in blue and silver with the castle and YOMD on them.

Silly question, though.. how the HECK do you attach them to your luggage? Mine came with this silly little clear plastic rubber-band-ish thingie.. one continuous loop. I get that one end of the loop goes through the hole in the tag, then I assume that the other end gets put through that loop so you can pull it tight on the tag... but then how does the other (completely closed) end attach to my suitcase???

I am a reasonably smart individual, it really annoys me when the inanimate object defeats me...

LOL Yeah, attaching those tags can be tricky!! I know how to do it but I am not sure I can explain how. Actually, I have to sit and think about it for a few minutes before getting them on myself. They are a pain. LOL

Basically, what you want to do it take the tag...take the plastic loop part and place it around your luggage handle...then pull the plastic loop all the way over the tag (getting the tag through the loop can be tough)...then once it is through, tighten it up. That was probably not much help but hopefully you will figure it out!

My husband came home from work last night and figured it out in about 5 minutes LOL... made *me* feel like a dork!
But then again, he is used to solving problems of an assembly-nature... he's a cabinetmaker and a computer-navigated draftsman... that can be my excuse, yeah, that's it...

We leave TOMORROW and I can't get them attached either. I am a total dork and cannot figure it out (nor can my husband) even after reading these instructions.

Please help!
