I am super excited to be taking my son(9) on his first trip to Disneyland! I have been 4 times but all as a child the last time being 1998 so we are both so thrilled.
We are going Oct 20st-24th and will be staying off site. To maximize time in the park we are going to get a 5 day hopper which means we have to use our arrival and departure days in the park.
My question is about our luggage. We plan to arrive at our hotel around 11am however check in time is not until 3pm. We most definitely do not want to wait until 3:30pm or later to go the park. Can we take all our luggage into the park? Would the lockers at DL be big enough for 2 good size backpacks? Are there things you cannot take into the park that would typically be in someones luggage? This will also affect us on our last day as check out is 11am and we dont have to leave the park until 4:30pm to head to the airport. Hoping someone has some advice for me. Thanks!

Many hotels have a room where they can store luggage until your room is ready. I would call and ask your hotel if they will do this.

Welcome to the DIS.

You most likely can leave your bags at your hotel front desk on check in and check out days.

If not, there are lockers outside of the park gates that fit suitcases. This will be more expensive but is the other option.

We have had this same issue a few times, and just as the others have said, the Hotel generally will store them for you. For the Faifield, they put tags on them and mark the number of baggage on a form they keep that we initial, and they are stored in a small storage type room off the lobby, and it's locked. When you come back and ready to check in, or check out (as we have done this for arrival day and departure day), they have someone take you to the room, and have you sign off on your luggage. It was simple and I felt it was perfectly secure, and no charge.

I'm sure all the hotels around a place like Disneyland encounter these issues on a daily basis, so I can't imagine the hotel not having some way to help you.:goodvibes
