Can we use the service where you get your return trip boarding pass printed and check-in your luggage without using the return Magical Express? We'll be at AK Kidani. Thanks.

Yes, if you are on a participating airline:
Current Resort Airline Check-In Participating Airlines (Domestic only):
* Airtran Air
* Alaska Airlines
*American Airlines
*Continental Airlines
*Delta
*Jetblue
*Southwest
*United
*US Air

You can check your luggage and get boarding passes at the resort, but you have to take ME transportation to the airport!

Sorry. Not true. It is perfectly fine to check luggage and get boarding passes and then get to the airport on your own. We have done it many, many , many times.

I've also done it for the return (not permitted on arrival). Checked our luggage for Delta, got BP's and then took the rental car back to the airport. This is called Resort Check-In, operated by Bags Inc, separate from DME.

Just want to share my experience - I was trying to be efficient so I checked into Delta on line the night before and paid the baggage fee on line. We arrived to check in area at SSR to check our bags and get the boarding passes printed ( 3 hours prior as they request) and to my surprise they could not take our bags since I paid the luggage fee ON LINE!!! If I waited and paid when I checked the luggage in at the resort I was told there would not be a problem and it is a Delta issue :headache: We had to lug the luggage back to the parking lot/car rental and do it at the airport - I was so hoping to not have to do that!

That is correct if you have check in on line then you already checked in. It is not just a Delta issue. It would be the same if you tried to check in on line twice. The computer will not let you because you already have.

I always check in on line 24 hours prior and when I get to the airport I print boarding passes and check luggage and have never been told I was checking in twice! I do not see the difference, the resort did print my boarding passes and when I got to the airport I still had to check my luggage in which is the same thing - not sure I understand. :confused3 BTW I have checked in with SW in the pass and still been allowed to check bags at resort. At least now I know!:thumbsup2

IF RAC, "remote airline check in" processes your luggage then they need to collect any luggage fees.

As PP, RAC and DME are separate functions, you can do one without the other. Even if we get a car rental, we will use RAC to check our bags at the resort.
