Hi all!

I am very excited to be trying the Spirit of Aloha Luau for the first time. Our whole grand gathering is signed up - I think we have a ressie for 16 and then another family hopped in after this was made so a separate one for another 4.

We are doing the early show - 5:15 I believe it starts and we have category II seating. My question is how early should we show up? Will they 'save' 16 seats altogether? Will they seat us if just 4 or 8 of us are there early and the others come later?

My current plan is to have everyone there by 4:30....Would this be sufficient do you think?

THANKS for your input!

I'm surprised they didn't tell you when you made your reservation. You are requested to be in the Poly lobby at 4:45 for the 5:15 show. They get everyone's name and check you off, then they take a photo of your group and everyone walks down to the luau together. It seemed a little excessive to me, but once we were there, you can see why -- there's a ton of people in the lobby trying to check in and get in line for photos (our photos were inside, I think sometimes they do them outside).

We were never told to check-in in the lobby. However, we were told to arrive 30 minutes before the show. We just went out to the luau and checked in at the desk there.

The tables are pre-assigned so your first ressie will be all seated together, 16?, and the second will have a different table. The assignments are made based on when the ressie was made, not when you arrive at the show. You do all need to be together at the time seating begins which is just a few minutes before the start time.

We also were there in September and just went down to the Luau to check in and get our group pictures. You can also divide up a bit as we did. We had 2 reservations with 2 families and linked them together for our meal so we all sat together. We all had to be there to be seated and our table was preassigned.

Well we were told the lobby so I guess the answer is show up when they tell you and where they tell you! It was rainy the week we were there, with numerous shows cancelled and such, so maybe that's why they were doing things in the lobby.

Maybe they didn't actually tell me when making the ADR either - maybe it was when we got our tickets, but I can't remember.
