LTT and MVMCP

I have an ADR at LTT for the night of our MVMCP at 6:20pm. I thought it was a great time until I realized that we would miss the Castle Lighting Cermony. This is are only ADR at LTT and was hoping to try it out. But I don't want to miss the Castle Lighting. I called to change my ADR but nothing was available. We can watch the castle lighting cermony another night, but would it ruin the MVMCP by not watching it that night? Should I keep it? Or do something else for dinner that night? It's me, DH and DS3. TIA!!!

Is there somewhere not in the park that we could watch the castle lighting cermony from our first night? Don't want to buy a park ticket, can I see it from somewhere else????

I think that you really are not going to miss much in by missing the ceremony/show that goes along with the castle lighting. They light the castle every night, not just on MVMCP nights.

We are going to the 12/14 MVMCP and are booked at LTT at 5:20pm. I would love to say that I thought we had a chance in Hades of making it up to the hub or Main Street to see the show, but I doubt it. I didn't even think about the castle lighting when I booked it. I was thinking of my MIL's diabetic/insulin spacing needs.

We have ressies at LTT on 12/14 at 6pm, so we will miss it, but we will probably be there the night before and catch it then, we also have several other evenings at MK to see it. There is so much commotion around that area on an MVMCP night, it really isn't worth trying to see that night. They will be shuffling party people in and day guests out and since it is dark at that time of day now, it really isn't worth it.

Thanks for the help. Do they do the castle lighting every night? Or only on MVMCP nights? Is it always at 630pm? If so, we will have plenty of other opprotunities to see it! Thanks!

Yes, they do it every night, not just during MVMCP. I think they do it at 5:45pm, not 6:30pm. I haven't seen that it was changed to 6:30pm.

Hi there,

People who went to MVMCP this week have reported it being at 6:30 PM. There, however, has been speculation that it could be switched earlier as it starts to get dark earlier...but the only thing that's been confirmed is that it has been at 6:30 PM this week.

Yes, they do it every night, not just during MVMCP. I think they do it at 5:45pm, not 6:30pm. I haven't seen that it was changed to 6:30pm.

The folks who have been to the Christmas Party this week have been reporting the Castle Lighting at 6:30 p.m. and the Steve Soares site also has the Castle Lighting times listed as 6:30 p.m. throughout the month.
