D: salad with beef and blue cheese, beef stroganoff and egg noodles
yep, I guess I had 2 lunches. I woke up late and had tomato soup around 12:30 and then was hungry again mid afternoon so had another lunch. Not really a snack.
So, how was the Wolf Lodge? We think of going there, but always end back up at Mackinaw. We do drive thru Traverse City and Petosky on the way back. Love looking in all the windows there.
You are doing great. Congrats on the 4 pounds! They are gone for good.
Hmmm, looks like I forgot to journal here yesterday. Not surprising considering my hectic day!
B: Yogurt, coffee, water
L: WW Santa Fe Rice and Beans (my favorite), water
D: Part of a Wendy's Chicken Salad and some homemade Pasta salad, Diet Pepsi
So to today:
B: Peaches and Cottage Cheese
L: Olive Garden Salad (dressing on the side), Chicken Spiedini (sub. ww pasta for potatos)
D: Leftover steak
Notice that snacks are not present much anymore. I am trying to drink the water. The Topamax is really playing havoc on my system. Most of the time I am really nauseaus. I am definitaly not very hungy. I am lucky to eat just a 1/4 of a normal serving size. I talked to my pharmacist about it today and he said that this is completely normal and it will just take time for my body to adjust. Until then I will just enjoy the extra help in the weight loss I guess! I really don't like it because I really don't like the nauseated feeling.
I reached my July 4th Mini Goal!!!! Lost 5.5 pounds by July 4th!!!!
B: Oat Muffin, Coffee
L: Salad with chicken and bacon bits and ranch dressing, diet pepsi
D: Texas Roadhouse-- 1 1/2 dinner rolls, iced tea, a few peanuts, 1/2 of Portabello Chicken, 1/4 plain sweet potato
I was feeling very sick very dinner: light headed, dizzy, faint. I thought I was just hungry and since I hadn't had very much in the way of carbs all day I thought that might be the problem. I had a dinner roll and peanuts when we sat down to see if that helped. It seemd to help a little. But even after I ate my dinner which was a balance of protien and carbs I was actually feeling worse. So bad that I asked DH to drive home and that is almost unheard of. I went straight to bed and stayed there all night.
I still have no idea why I felt that way. I am convinced it was probably due to eating or lack of, but I just can't figure out what/why. I am sure that the Topomax is probably also playing a roll since it is still making me very nauseaus after just a few bites, and I have to force myself to eat enough to be healthy and deal with the nausea. But it hasn't caused the dizzyness and faint feeling so I think it had to be from the lack of eating due to the nauseal
Thank you so much for the info on Wolf Lodge. DD just turned 11, so it will work out great. DH isn't much into water parks, but he is good at relaxing by the pool with a good book and making sure we are enjoying ourselves.
Usually we take a short trip to Frankenmueth near Christmas, so I think we may try Wolf Lodge this year. It is about the same drive time. And the snow is much prettier up north rather than near Lake Erie.
It does sound like we will have to take advantage of eating in the room. Not only do I try to eat as healthy as I can, but I have to eat gluten free as well. Pizza and burgers just don't do that. I do get tired of salads all the time on the road. Thank goodness for broiled fish and grilled chicken!
I'm back. I haven't been able for a few days. Between vacation and just an extremely busy schedule that has kept me away from the computer I couldn't get on here to record.
I have been doing okay. I ate a few too many sugar cookies on vacation. I resisted the birthday cake but substitued the cookies instead. Probably didn't make much difference.
I did have a big cheat yesterday. DD7 took me out for a "date" lunch and we had dessert at a local tearoom. We splurged on desserts and tea. Mine was WONDERFUL! I am making up for it with salads for the rest of the month
Today has been a very lite day. My stomach has been bothering me.
B: coffee
L: small salad w/ a little chicken and bacon, ranch dressing, iced tea
S: little bit of a SF Sno Cone, SB Choc Rasberry Snack Bar
D: Rest of the salad with chicken and bacon, ranch dressing, water
I hate summer! I know, most people love it, but it is so hectic for me. The kids are home and I am just on the GO all the time. I have barely been home at all this week and haven't been able to get to the computer. I have been eating okay. Heck, I have been lucky to find any time TO eat. I have been sticking mostly to fruit and salads and Slim Fast drinks.
