lowest price DVD-R- where to find??

The subject says it all! Where do you find the lowest price for DVD-R?

I would recommend a DVD+/- R, You simply do not know what the standard will end of being. We have the +/- and it is great.
Dee, who is the computer store owner in this family, says that Sam's, BJ's, Staples, Circuit City, Best Buy would be the way to go, they have great customer service. You might also try Comp USA, apparently they have them with a 50.00 rebate.
I guess it is time for you to hit the net and start checking prices.

Believe it or not the home shopping network (hsn.com) has a great price on one and it has flex pay. They have a Mustek Dual Deck DVD Player and CD-RW Recorder for $289.92. (Flex pay 4 payment @ $72.48). They had another one for a little bit higher but they have sold out.

I would wait until Black Friday, I could almost promise someone will have a good price on them.

I usually checkout DealTime.com for a comparison of prices. You will need to know what brand and model DVD burner that you are looking for and whether you want an integrated DVD burner or removable devise. DealTime will show the prices that your item is selling for at a number of online merchants.

Sorry about that. I should have said "where to get the lowest price discs- like on a spindle". In the meantime, we are in the market for a DVD burner also (the disc question is for a friend) and your information has been very helpful!

We have found Sam's Club and Staples to be the lowest.

And, just as an FYI Comp USA has the DVD burner +/- for 189. and there is a 50.00 rebate, which brings the price down to 139.00 plus applicable sales tax. If you have the +/- you can take advantage of sales on either kind. I cannot wait to see what the standard will be, this is sort of like the VHS vs. Beta in video recorders.

The cheapest brand that gets good reviews is Ritek. You can get good prices from places like www.rima.com and http://www.meritline.com/ www.newegg.com also has good deals on DVD-R's
