We are in the process of scheduling an illuminations dessert party for January 12, 2007. As of right now, the only thing avaiable, according to our EM is Lower UK. Has anyone had their party there or know what this looks like? My EM sent me a picture, but I wanted to see if anyone had any first hand experience with this location!

Thanks :)

I have my dessert party booked for there on the 5th December! i went to see it o my recent planing visit and managed to view the fireworks from there. I thought it was a lovely location, as it sticks right out over the water and has a great view of everything.

can anyone tell me the estimated price of the illuminations dessert party? There will be 17 people in our party and would love to have one. thanks! :tink:

I've seen parties there while we are watching illuminations, and it looks absoutely fabulous! I wanted to do mine there, but when we turned it into the location of our rehearsal dinner, it turns out that it's not large enough for a buffet and tables, but if I only did a dessert buffet there, then it would be my first and only choice!

Thanks everyone for your help! Laurafoster, I love how you said it sticks over the water...that sounds amazing!!

Yes I had mine there last week! I HIGHLY recommend it, I like that we felt as if we were there watching the fireworks ourselves. I had Jill (underthemistletoe) a fellow Disney Bride join us with her hubby for the dessert party & we had a great time. I haven't gotten my pictures back yet but will be sure & send you some as soon as I do.

Katie, Thank you so much! Im so glad you enjoyed your time there and I can't wait to see your pictures! :)

we had our dessert party at lower uk march 21st 2006, it was a fabolous location right on the water with a great view of the globe & fireworks. there was plenty of room for our 50 guests on the benches & the tables we set up ntm the dessert table. i highly recommend uk lower & dessert parties in general if you have the money its a great way to end the evening with a bang. it created such great memories & our guests were wow-ed.

here's a photo of uk lower on our planning trip:
