Low Point Contracts and ROFR

I have looked at the other DVC forum and there is a thread discussing ROFRs on contracts. The odds of low point contracts passing seems slim based on this thread. Clearly there must be many factors that go into Disney determining whether to use ROFR or not. Has anyone had a low point (let's say 25 or 50 points) pass recently? Just curious if there is any hope for those of us that may want to buy in small!

Depends on what resort....BCV goes fast and the resale numbers have to be high or Disney will use the ROFR. Most contracts that I heard about passing are generally anywhere from $82 to $85 per point....OKW, HH, VB, tend to be lower. If you want in, take a shot.......

I never could understand why Disney would ROFR VB or HH? Those contracts generally go for 65-75 per point and I find it unlikely that anyone would pay 92/point adding on these resorts. Is it only to keep resale high?
