Hi everyone! I'm new to WISH and Low Carb eating. I know a lot of restaurants had re-vamped their menus to include Low Carb & Weight Watcher items. Does anyone have a favorite? I like to dine out and would love to hear some "low carb reviews".
Thanks!

Hi Holly - I've eaten at Ruby Tuesday's and thought it was just okay. My mashed cauliflower is better than theirs. But the cheesecake is pretty awesome if you need a treat every once in a while. I think Charlie Brown's does low-carb too but I think their food is awful. I have better luck eating low carb at regular restaurants.

Hi,

It is very easy to eat low carb at most any regular restaurant you like. Meat, fresh broccoli or asparagus is on most menus.

Salad, usually isn't a problem, just watch the dressing.

I love Ruby Tuesday's menu. I have had better mashed cauliflower at Houlihan's though. Their mashed cauliflower had melted cheese on top and crumbled bacon. Yummy. RT's also has cajun grilled talapia, wonderful fried buffalo wings (fried in canola oil and without flour), cajun grilled chicken salad and several burger wraps that my husband likes. I second Tiff's comments on RT's lc cheesecake. It's awesome!

Like webray said, you can pretty much turn any restaurant into a lc eating experience by ordering lean meat, veggies, salad, etc. Enjoy! :teeth:

I actually find the low-carb menus to be higher-priced, smaller portioned, and in some cases, higher-carb than ordering good selection off the regular menu.

Mind you - I'm extremely happy they're offering them now, especially for the people who are trying to lower carbs, but either not following a specific diet, or not as informed as someone who's been doing it a lot longer. It's easier to find side items (other than broccoli!) now, too.

And I applaud Ruby Tuesday's for listing nutrition info on many (if not all) their menu items now! (though, I'll sadly no longer indulge in my favorite ribs with the non-sweet dry rub! sob, sob! ;) )

Outback Steakhouse is my favorite to eat at while low-carbing. I get a caesar salad, steak, & steamed broccoli in place of the potato. It's very easy to eat low carb at this restaurant, and the food is delicious!!

Definitely Outback Steakhouse. I also love going to Sweet Tomatoes and having a HUGE salad. (And I love that they put ALL of their nutritional info on their website.) I also really like Backyard Burger's blackened chicken salads - YUM!
