lovinaz's "getting her act together" journal

Great news at the doctor's, Amy!!!!:cheer2:

Sorry to hear about the rain. :( When is it supposed to stop?

Hope you have a nice evening!:hug:

Amy
Wonderful news from the Doctor!:banana: Have you tried a bit of yoga? Do you all have a Wii? I find the yoga exercises on the WII fit to be great. When I find time to get on it that is.........:rolleyes1

Hopefully your DH was able to get the roof fixed and will be able to work on your kitchen this week.

Have a great day Amy.

Today's weight was 139.6. That is a 0.8lb loss from last week! :cool1: And I am out of the 140's!!! :banana: I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY hope I can stay out!!!! I'd love to get a 2-3lb buffer, I hate the 140's... I think I am finally coming to the realization that this is the size/weight I am going to be. I'm sure I could lose a couple lbs by going on some super restrictive diet, but I'm just not that motivated. I know working out has toned me, but my pants don't fit any different, so that tells me I probably didn't have too much extra fat to begin with. DH even called me "Ms Athlete" when I was coming into the bedroom in my workout clothes this morning. He said he could tell a difference. Either he can or he was just trying to get lucky tonight! :lmao:

I can't even describe how much rain we've gotten! It's rained for over 24 hours straight, it's insane. It is supposed to rain today, then clear up tomorrow. DD's practice was canceled, obviously, so that was good!

I can't wait to work on the kitchen this weekend. I am sick of freezing every evening and morning in there! It just makes me realize how much time I actually spend there! :eek:

For Thursday:
B: chocolate oatmeal
L: spinach salad w/chicken, cheese, LF dressing; candy cane
S: baby carrots; apple
S: large handful almonds
D: 4 cheese ravioli, sauce w/meatless crumbles, parm cheese; 2 graham crackers

E: 40min TJ Turbo Sculpt; 20min Shred L3
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
redlight, my overall ratio is not that bad, since my good cholesterol is really good. I am just bummed because I had FINALLY gotten it to 189 last year and now it's back up!
Amy, getting rid of stress isn't going to happen anytime soon! One thing I HAVE to stop stressing out about is losing my hair! I think it is getting a little better since I started the vitamins, I haven't had handfuls come out in the shower lately.
Barb, I know my dad doesn't have high cholesterol, I will have to ask my mom. I'd hate to have to go on meds, I rarely take anything. But if that is what the Dr recommends, I'm not going to argue. I'm not the one with MD after my name!
Tracy, I hope that AZ sunshine comes back tomorrow!
Lisa, I am not a yoga fan, but I love Pilates. I think I will definitely do 2 mornings of Pilates the week after my TurboJam funfest is done (only 1 more week of that!). And start looking for some other workout DVDs at Costco this weekend. And DH WILL get the ceiling finished this weekend. He's not familiar with the doghouse concept, but if that ceiling is not done, he will get a crash course! :laughing:
Either he can or he was just trying to get lucky tonight! :lmao:
Too funny, Amy!:lmao:
Way to go on weigh-in!!!:cheer2: And you did Turbo Jam AND Shred?!?!?:worship:
Sending some :wizard::wizard: for your DH and the ceiling this weekend. Hopefully, you won't have to teach him about the doghouse concept. ;)
Have a great weekend!:hug:
Woke up this morning to a nice sight - the sun!!! I'm glad it's back. I know we needed rain, but last week was a little crazy!
"Project Ceiling" starts today. It WILL be done by Sunday evening or I think I will go clinically insane! :crazy2: I'm not asking for a completely finished, ready to be shown on HGTV ceiling, I am just asking to not be able to see my attic anymore!
For Friday:
B: chocolate oatmeal
L: FlatOut wrap w/turkey, spinach, mustard, cheddar; candy cane
S: baby carrots; apple
S: large handful almonds; red peppers-n-hummus
D: turkey burger on wheat bun w/relish, mustard; baked sweet potato fries (WAY too many, but :lovestruc); 21 M&Ms
E: 45min TJ Cardio Party
Avoided: microwave popcorn; more M&Ms :cheer2:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tracy, I did the Turbo Jam in the morning, and the Shred after work. I've been able to convince myself to do it as soon as I get home, there really is no excuse not to - it keeps me out of the kitchen looking for snacks and it's only 20min!

Amy, thanks! I know you will get into the 140's soon. I will officially hand them over to you! :goodvibes

Sun? What is that?:confused3 Can you send some our way to remind me what it looks like? Pretty please. :flower3:

Sending ceiling :wizard::wizard: your way...

Have a great weekend!:hug:

Amy, congrats on the loss! I know how much you want out of those 140's and you made it happen!

Getting destressed is something that most of us don't find too easy to do. If you find a way to do so, teach me as well!

Good news the hair loss is slowing down.

I wish I could erase yesterday off the map food-wise! :guilty: The kitchen was in such a mess, I just lost my mind. :eek: But today we are planning to put drywall up!!! Woohooo!!! No more cold drafts blowing on me while I'm making dinner! :banana: No more insulation blowing into the kitchen every time the heater comes on! :woohoo: Let's hope installing ceiling drywall is easy - I know the concept is easy, but those boards are HEAVY and I know I'll have to help hold them up. It'll be worth it.

For Saturday:
B: chocolate oatmeal
L: 2+ servings reduced fat Cheez-Its; 1 large bowl Froot Loops; 18 M&Ms :sad2:
S: large handful almonds
D (ordered from Mex restaurant): chips-n-salsa; chicken machaca w/flour tortilla maybe 1/4c Spanish rice; 18 M&Ms (they are gone!)
S: microwave popcorn :sad1:

E: none

Tracy, it was cloudy on and off all day, but at least it wasn't raining anymore!

Amy, unless I quit my job and move to Fiji, I think I will continue to have stress... ;) I had to check the scale this morning and thankfully my body gave me a reprieve and I am still under 140! That was a gift, I can't have too many more bad food days like that if I want to get down to 135 anytime soon... :rolleyes1

congrats on the loss Amy :)
i hope you now have a ceiling :)
& glad the dr found nothing major :)

It sounds like the ceiling project is in full swing. :banana:I hope it gets done for you soon!:wizard:

Hope you have a nice Sunday!:hug:

WooHoo for the 130s!:woohoo: Awesome Amy! You can stay there and go even lower. I think you have finally hit on what works for you. :banana: Remember, some people just take a little longer than others.

I think your food looked okay. Maybe a few MMs..... but chocolate is good for you. :rolleyes1

Do you have a ceiling? I'm gonna go check if it is raining in your area. I would feel bad if your DH was in the dog house in the rain. Maybe you better just go with the couch first. As in a step program. Step 1 - cold shoulder, step 2 -couch, step 3 -dog house in rain.........

NO CEILING!!!!!!!!!!! But I am OK with it. DH worked all day, both Sat and Sun to get all the wiring situated, including changing the switches that will operate the new lighting. That is time consuming stuff! We are now FINALLY at the point where there is nothing left to do but install the drywall. :thumbsup2 And DH might take Friday off to do it, so I can suffer another week, I suppose... :rolleyes1

I got 2 new workout DVDs - one is Biggest Loser Cardio Max and the other is another Jillian - Fat Burning something.... I will start doing those next week after I finish my TurboJam series!!! I will be glad to take a break from TurboJam. It's a good workout, but I get bored easily. I will do another round of it with hand weights - that ought to be a bag of laughs! Food was much better yesterday, until DD came home from my mom's w/chocolate no-bake cookies. :confused3 Those things are like crack to me...

Work is killing me right now. So much for my stress-free hair re-growing plan! :scared:

For Sunday:
B: chocolate oatmeal
L: FlatOut Wrap w/turkey, mustard, spinach, colby jack; 1 serving (yes, counted!) RF Cheez-Its; 100 cal VitaMuffin top
S: 2 no-bake cookies
D: grilled steak; corn; 2 no-bake cookies :confused3

E: 20min Shred L3
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tracey, thanks! I was happy to be out of the 140's finally. And I will work hard to stay there!
Tracy, almost there with the ceiling...
Lisa, I am definitely one of the slooooooooow losers. Gets frustrating sometimes, but as long as I look good in my bikini this summer, I don't care what the scale says! Hee hee, I like your step program. Even after 7+ years together, DH is so awesome he is unaware of the need for "punishment". :lovestruc
It sounds like a lot of good progress has been made on the ceiling. :thumbsup2
I hope you'll let us know how you like your new workout DVDs. :goodvibes
Sorry to hear about work. Sending you some :wizard::wizard: for the afternoon ahead.
I know what you mean...I like variety in my workout DVDs too.
Ugh, bummer about work! But at least you're doing really good with the food.
I'm glad yesterday is over! Total drama at work...
I polished off the remaining no-bake cookies, so that was definitely the highlight of my day... :rolleyes1
I am supposed to do Shred AND AbJam tonight after work (I already did TurboSculpt this morning), but I don't know if that will happen. I should have gotten up 20min earlier and did the AbJam in the morning, but alas, I didn't... I am lucky I got up at all, I was REALLY tempted to skip it all together. But I kept thinking of the Biggest Loser theme - what have you done today to make you feel proud? And turning off the alarm and sleeping in doesn't qualify in my book, so I rolled out of bed. :rolleyes: I have the same workout schedule on Thu, hopefully I can get it together and do the 2 TurboJams in the morning and just Shred after work.
For Monday:
B: chocolate oatmeal
L: spinach salad w/chicken, cheese, LF dressing; candy cane
S: baby carrots
S: red pepper-n-hummus; 3/4 VitaMuffin top (DD didn't like it)
D: chicken quesadilla (FlatOut wrap, chicken, onion, tomatoes, cilantro, cheese); 2.5 chocolate no-bake cookies
E: 45min TJ Cardio Party
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tracy, thanks! Work has been a little less hectic today (so far!)

Barb, I just need to make sure I don't buy too many workout DVDs - I could easily see myself surpassing the $$ I'm going to save by not renewing my gym membership! :laughing:

Chocolate no-bake cookies. I love those things. :love: I even made some for my demonstration speech in college. One thing I can not make 'cause I will definitly eat them. Way to much of them. They are soooooo good. :lovestruc

Okay, so no ceiling. But at least DH was there working and not out golfing or something, which mine definitly would have been doing if it had been raining for a really long time and suddenly the sun was out. Hense the step program. :rolleyes1

Hope works gets better. :hug: I HATE drama at work. At least you had cookies. :love:

Good luck on getting the workouts in. You amaze me with what all you do. I get tired just thinking about it.

LOL, I'm the same way with DVDs! I'm like a kid in a candy store in the fitness section at Target.

Work drama...ugh. Makes me glad I work at home now. Did the corporate thing for 16 years and I swear some workplaces are more like dysfunctional families.

Amy, it sounds like your dh is getting you very close to having a ceiling back! Just keep hanging in there with that. You went off a bit but got right back on.

If you did one DVD this morning I bet you will do the other one tonight! If not, well at least you got one done and that is something!

I love no bake cookies too! :love:

Did you get a workout in yesterday? I was way too tired to even think about it! ;)

Hope you have a great day!:hug:
