Just got back from staying at Pop Century. My daughter and I loved it. Would recommend to anyone considering it.

Great to here that. I'll be there in about a week. How was the crowds for this time of the year? Thanks

we hardly waited for anything. We went to all 4 parks. My daughter is 6yrs. She loved the Tower of Terror and Rocking Roller Coaster at MGM. The lines were not long. 5-10 minutes top. At Pop, we stayed in the 60's section. Close to everything. Pack warm clothes. Some days were sweatshirt weather.

We just got back too. The crowds at the park were quite light but Pop seemed to be fairly crowded. There were lines at the buses and lines in the food court.

We always go off season and we were a little shocked at how crowded the resort was. Maybe this is par for the course for the values?

Indeed, we have been busy! But with AP and Florida Resident rates going as low as $49-$55/night, a lot of people jumped on the Pop Bandwagon. :)

Welcome back :) Did you use PC bus service? Just wondering how the buses were? Did they run frequently? Were they crowded?

TIA :wave2:

We were at Pop Century last week. We used the bus service. We never waited very long for a bus. Maybe 10 minutes if that. They werent crowded either. We never had to stand, we always got a seat. DH didn't like the food at the food court but I thought it was fine. He did like the cinnamon rolls for breakfast though. We stayed in the 80's section with noisey neighbors. There kids were running around slamming doors, yelling, knocking on our door one night then the next morning at 7:30 doing the same thing, trying to get in our room so I opened the door and they ran and I yelled "Do you mind, people are trying to sleep around here." Didn't here the kids again. Didn't let them ruin our vacation though. We had a great time.

We were just there in the 80's last week as well. Everything is close, and new, and clean, and the buses were fantastic. We didn't find it too busy. We checked in and out early and had no problem. We ate at the food court several times, and found no line ups, but we made sure we ate at off-times. I was shocked at all the cars in the parking lot, and yet there seemed like there was hardly anybody around! I guess they were all at the parks having fun like us! Had the pool practically to ourselves...of course, it was only 65 degrees outside, but to us northerners, that's awfully warm. ::yes::

Coming from Indiana and the snow..... the 60 degree weather wasn't that bad. Just wished I would have packed more than one sweatshirt. We stayed in the 60's section. Check in was a breeze. They even let my daughter "help" check us in. Very cute. She thought she was something. We had a little problem with our park hopper tickets at the will call window. They weren't there. It was quite frustrating.

Bus service to and from Pop was great. The food court had a pretty good variety of meals. Pricey. But expected.

I want to go back......

I keep thinking. Last week at this time, I was walking around MGM or Magic Kingdom. It's kind of sad. LOL.

Did you find the lines long coming back from the parks to Pop Century? We are goind in May and have never stayed at a value resort. We are so excited! Would love to get a map of the resort. (saw one for other resorts--will keep looking on the www.wdwinfo.com site) Was the bus trip to the parks long or about usual? How was the food? Breakfast? The store?
I can't wait and I want to know everything now!

The lines were not long coming back and the ride wasnt that long. There is a map out there but I cant find it. I do have one I could try and scan and send to you. I thought the food was ok. My DH didnt like the food, only the cinnamon buns for breakfast. The gift shop had quite a bit of stuff.

I CAN'T WAIT!!! We have only two and a half days left until we get to go!!! I am so glad that you liked this resort. I have having second thoughts. We LOVED the WL and will miss it terribly. I just hope I won't be too disappointed. I really don't think I will unless it rains all week. That's when the reality will set in that I have to walk out in the rain to get a refill or food!!!

Cya There!!

Mickey....we're almost there!!!!

Thanks for the help on the buses :) Glad to hear that they're reliable!

Just got back last night.

Bus service was outstanding. Never waited more than five minutes, with only one exception (about 15 to DTD @5:30 Friday). Out of six days, with no rental car and relying completely on Disney bus transportation, with ONE SINGLE wait of more than five minutes, I was more than thrilled. We had more than one occasion when we had to stand, or there were others standing. However, Pop is so centrally located to everything that it wasn't a big deal at all.

Everything was clean, clean, clean. All Pop CM's were very pleasant and helpful. Not a single complaint about the place.

I am glad to hear! Sound like you still have the Pixie Dust and the Magic with you! Can't wait until we go! Did they have a new area created at the theme parks for the bus to Pop Century? I remember from other times we went-looking for our resort name at the parks to find the right line to get in to wait for our bus. I read that they might add a line or sign all by itself for the buses.

Thanks for the feedback!:::yes::

YAY YAY YAY.. Almost my turn too! I love hearing these great reports! Makes me that much more anxious!

Well kids, It's great to be able to come on here and see all the enthusiastic responses about the resort. It's so enlightening. Anywho, yeah, there's been lots of Volume at Pop, but during the day some times it's almost like a ghost town. But at night it's great to see all the smiling faces come back home from having fun. Anyways, I just figured I'd drop my 2 cents in, have a great day all. Like I said Cya Real Soon!

Each park has clear stops and signs for Pop Century added. You shouldn't have a problem finding them. Never waited long for a bus.

This was my first time staying onsite. My daughter picked the resort from the brochure because of the big can of play dough. It was really a great experience all around. Staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms clean. Mousekeeping came early. Woke up us most of the time. Ha.
