Even though this isn't really Disney, it's good news for us in the LGBTQ community!

ME Question 1: Allow Same-Sex Marriage
Projected Winner: YES!

MD Question 6: Allow Same-Sex Marriage
Projected Winner: YES!

MN Amendment 1: Ban Same-Sex Marriage
Projected Winner: NO!

WA Referendum 74: Allow Same-Sex Marriage
Yes: 985,308 @ 52%
No: 917,197 @ 48%

This makes me super happy as I think the shift towards greater equality in civil rights in the US is happening as we speak! Love, at least this election season, has won out!

There's a petition drive going here in Ohio to rescind the 2004 constitutional amendment banning marriage equality. Hopefully, we'll get enough signatures to get it on the Nov 2013 ballot.

Congrats to all my friends in the LGBT community, and hopefully one day soon, this ugliness will be behind us across the entire nation.
