Wanted to check out a few of the lounges and have some small food items with our 19 month old. Was thinking of Tambu Lounge at Polynesian or Terriory Lounge since we are staying at Wilderness Lodge. Are there lots of children at these establishments during the day early evening (before 8pm) or does it feel more like just a bar? Any comments?

Weve always seen many kids in the lounges and have never had a problem when we take ours. Last year we drank around the monorail with a group of Disers(5 kids between us)...then we did it again this summer with my mother and our kids. They actually enjoy doing this, LOL! :D
I think a lot of people go to the lounges while waiting for tables in the nearby restuarants so it definitely isnt unlikely to see kids there.

We took our 4 year old to Victoria Falls lounge at AKL last year and it was not a problem. We do not let her drink soda at home, but at Disney she can have Shirley Temples (I think they call them something else in the World) so that keeps her occupied and happy. I would suggest VF over TL because it is more opened up. TL is more closed in so a 19 month old's antics may be more noticeable in an enclosed room. I have not been to the lounge at the Poly so I can't make a suggestion there. Oh, we also took our DD to Mizner lounge (yeah, we like our pre dinner cocktails) and there were a lot of kids there that night.

Bottom line is...this is Disney....no one can complain about kids being around, ya know? Of course if your little one starts to misbehave, you would want to step outside for a little while til he/she calms down. We love to take advantage of the Cub's Den at thw WL...for $10 an hour our DD is so entertained and happy...she begs us to let her go there. So we go for drinks and have some "alone" time, then pick her up and eat dinner. I guess you are a year and a half away from being able to do that! I think they have to be 3 years old.

anyway...good luck, I am sure you will have a blast!
