Going over NYE (I know, I know but we aren’t yank our son out of school for a week at Disney people + our APs expire in January) and familiarizing myself with horror stories of crowds. We have made at least one ADR a day to have a place to duck in and avoid lines for a bit... but we also love hitting as many lounges as we can. Since lounges are first come first served how are the wait times and availability during the holiday season? Doable or don’t even bother? Obviously Trader Sam’s is probably a bad idea but anywhere else that you’ve found to be a good port in the storm?

Brown Derby patio — first come, first served great people watching. The upper outdoor seating at Wine Bar George. Skippers Canteen for apps and refreshing adult beverage in MK. The Nomad Lounge in AK is relaxing and lovely. The Wine Cave in Italy (though the hours can be funky); also a glass of Champagne and a sit down in Paris at the fountains is a lovely break are good EPCOT treats. Something we haven’t done is take the gondola over to the Riviera and hit up Dahlia there.

Depending on if you are staying on resort or not, the River Roost lounge at Port Orleans-Riverside is comfy and laid back. It gets fun and a bit rowdy when Yee Haw Bob performs.

We are staying at POR for part of the trip, thanks for the reminder! I remember that place badly needing an update but for a casual drink it will work just fine :) Hoping now that CBR and CSR have received a lot of love that the PO resorts are next.

We really enjoyed HBD so that's a good one to consider. Definitely doing Nomad as well. Any idea if these lounges get insane during the holidays? That's my biggest worry. If getting a table is rough we'll just make all ADRs.

Had lunch on Christmas Eve right on the Brown Derby patio. But we were there when it opened. If you're ready at gate drop, you should get a table.

So we went last holiday season to all of them at various times and had no issues — maybe 10-15 min wait but nothing beyond that.

Had lunch at HBD Christmas Day and it was nothing like the mad scene of eating at the restaurant the year before on the same day. Party of 2 no wait. and a nice view of the March of the 1st Order. Bonus that we could order from both menus.

Geyser Point Lounge was very relaxing with no wait either. We ate there twice over the holidays. Once as a break from MK and the other just to see the holiday decor at WL.

Great to hear, thank you!

Geyser Point is on the list for sure. So awesome to hear it was chill in your experience :)
