Lots of questions

A friend will be starting the CP program with an arrival of Aug. 30. They have never been to Disney and have no idea where to start. She will be in a under 21 building and will be in quick service.

They would like a packing list of some sort and any other great "things" they don't want to forget.

Her parents will be visiting in Oct. and when she gets them in the park will they be able to park hop?

Should they get the black Reebok shoes now and have them?

Your friend probably needs to go to wdwcollegeprogram.com and log in. Info on the 3 Q's you asked can be found there.

they have a list of stuff to pack.

info on CP cast discounts and when they go into effect is there is great detail (not eligible until after Traditions 3-4 days after check-in. main entrance pass isn't mailed until 2-3 weeks after that).

they also say not to buy any work shoes before arriving. Some quick service require all black sneakers, but others do not. She won't know where she is working specifically until she checks in. her trainers will give her the 411 on what she needs.

the log in area pretty much has everything anyone needs to know to get ready for the program.

Her parents should be able to park hop. She'll be able to let in 3 friends and family at one time in the parks 6 times a year, but it can't be on blackout dates.

I'd wait until training starts to get a pair of shoes.

WOW, thanks fo much for the quick replys. Her mom is so worried, but of course I love WDW so she ask questions everyday. They will actually be going to Disney during our school fall break so they will be there same time we will be there.

I only lived 20 minutes from home in my college dorm so if I forgot anything I just had to grab it when I went home for work on the weekend. lol
Can't drive from Florida to Ohio if I forgot something!
