I just got back from DLR and I waited in the line for MMRR - what a queue! I could have wandered around in there for hours. All of those actual props from the old Mickey shorts! 😉 It's such a better implementation than the HS version.

I feel like that's part of the reason why they weren't selling a lot of the ILLs. People would rather wait in the queue to see all the cool stuff than pay extra cash and skip it.

Maybe - I was very impressed!

I'm embarrassed to admit that I've waited in the LM line for 50 minutes. Only because it was raining hard and I wanted cover...and so did everyone else. That queue is squishy, boring, and awful, with nothing to look at but other people up in your face because of all the switchbacks. I hope LL doesn't make standby routinely long. LM has always been my quick escape for getting out of the sun and into some great air conditioning.

I was laughing earlier at all the people on Twitter/X saying "That line is always 5 or 10 minutes or a walk-on! I've never seen it get long!" and I'm like... wait, how often are you at the parks??? Because, while it is VERY often only 5-20 minutes, there are times when it can be significantly longer than that. (Usually when the parks are packed and it's HOT out. Or if some other nearby rides are broken down and people need a place to go. But it does happen.) It's one of my top favorites, so maybe I just pay more attention than they do.

That said, I really don't think it needs a LL, but I'm guessing this is their way of making the DCA list of Genie+ rides a little bit longer and make you think you're getting more value out of buying G+.

This 100%. How many families with little kids skip Genie+ in DCA? But adding LM to LL is just empty appeasement.

Now, add RSR back to the LL and now you’re talking.

If they're making money off of RSR ILLs, they probably won't. That said, I definitely wouldn't be surprised if they add a LL queue to Luigi's and Mater's eventually for the same reasons. More variety for the bigs and littles.

Exciting news for MMRR, but the Ariel piece confuses me. That line is never really bad...even on busy days. Hopefully it doesn't destroy standby times. I liked having it as a spontaneous "the park is too crowded" attraction at DCA.
Totally agree about LM! Always a good bet if you need a break in the air conditioning for a couple minutes

Now I’m wondering - will we not get SoCal tickets for all ages next year. Are they trying to do just kid discounts and nothing for adults? Our middle DD turns 10 in Jan, so if we could sneak in a visit before her b-day it might make sense, but otherwise it won’t help us much to only get 1 of 5 tickets at a discount.

After reading about the 180-day reservation window and the early 2024 child ticket promotion, I'm sensing that Disney is seeing some warnings/indications that their DLR vacationer numbers are showing softening for the post-holiday period, and they're starting with a pretty minimal impact effort on their part offer to the consumer in the hopes of goosing demand a little.

Exactly what I was thinking. Disney must be seeing a slowdown in reservations for 2024 and wants to keep the revenue up and flowing.

This is what I’m thinking. But a special child offer that can be used up to three different days within the promotional period without a similar offer for adults? Pretty weird.

Isn't that always the case right after New Year's? They might get a nudge from the MLK holiday weekend and RunDisney, and then Presidents Day weekend is pretty big, but otherwise Jan/Feb are pretty slow, right?

Disneyland wants 180 days to see if they need to do more discounts in my opinion. One thing I would like them to change is the hour availability. I understand it depends on the cast members, but their hour calendar is so restrictive it is hard to plan a trip. I would like to know which park is going to have early entry next trip and I won't know that for quite sometime. I might have to change my days around depending on that

Excellent points. Agreed hopefully an early entry calendar will be announced and be on a set fixed schedule so we can plan. If the schedule always changes that will be very hectic for hotel resort guests and non hotel resort guests.

CNBC published an article that Disney parks are seeing a slowdown in attendance and hotel occupancy.

The Little Mermaid lightning lane makes zero sense. I've never waited more than 10 minutes for that ride. Or more like i refuse to ride it with a line longer than 10 minutes. Hopefully this doesn't screw up the riding it on a whim for a quick break as most seem to do.
